Lucky its not this weekend, as according to Steve (the owner), there has been heavy rain all night, and it is impossible to get into the park without 35's and twin lockers.... going to be interesting for those already in the park spectating at rumble on the rocks...lol

Yes for campers who stayed in there overnight, it would be a very slow exit from the park

Looking good for us in a few weeks. This rain is hanging around (apparently) for the week so should make for a challenging day.....then again couldn't be any more challenging than the last time.

        Hanging out for the 10th!

10th!!! That's my 7 year old turning 8. Oh well she will just have to shout you all a slice of cake.

Might have to count me out, we only just got power back on after 4 days without it, we have just had to pay for a site at a wedding expo for the wifes business so that we could shut out a competitor that we know will give the type of business a bad name.

yes last weekend was stupid, what made it worse was we could not get any info out of council, energex, and state gov for the 4 days, we were left in the dark and to fend for ourselves, I bet this will be swept under the carpet by those gov's, but thats my rant over..lol. Hope everyone enjoys the trip

That's a shame Craig, I was hoping to see the debut of the new TraxRax design. Hope the friends are ok though.

                  Hi Rob

Dare I ask, any word from City View on whether they'll be open or not. The lad and I are till keen and plan to camp Saturday night.

                    Hi Trev,
I spoke to Steve this morning, as you expect it has been very wet and muddy out there. At the moment they are open but it is challenging as they have a competition on this weekend at this stage.
Its currently forcast to rain on and off into next week and then hopefully dry out for a good few days
For those that went last time, will know how slippery and muddy it can get there after a big rain.
Lets assume it will go ahead for the time being and we can make a call later next week after seeing what the weather does.
                    Cheers
                    Robert

If it does get called off I'll be happy to go whenever it may be re-scheduled for. I bet it will be bloody slippery if there is rain during the week and we probably wouldn't be able to get too far on the tracks. Anything cambered will be impossible.

Looking at the BOM radar right now (10:27pm) they will be getting smashed again!!!

We may need a plan B?

It was just a quick 10 min storm that came through late last night, which is actually a good thing, cause it will wash away alot of the smelly mud left around the Logan and Scenic Rim areas from the flooding.

                                Righto

Pending weather, my son and I are going to head over on Saturday and throw the swags down at either Bigriggin or Flanagans Reserve. We haven't been to either before and this is a good chance to check one of them out.
Sunday morning we're only a +/- 30min drive to City View.
Anyone that wants to do the same is more than welcome to join us.

                                See you Sat/Sun
