          Hey Dan

I've just been given a GoPro and am working out the best place to mount it.
Looks loke yours is in the top drivers side corner - is that right?

            Hi Trev

Spot on, that way I can check to see if it's still there and turn on and off easy. The wifi iphone control is great however battery life is about 18 minutes, so I did not use it.

            Great bit of gear.

Must just be tapatalk that will not let the video play, thought it was all I devices. Weather was incredible, could not ask for better. Still our favourite holiday spot. Thanks guys.

            Cheers Dan

I was there. We were camped up north at Cathedrals. I kept looking out for pradopoint stickers but didn't see any. Lots of prado's though. How did you like kingfisher? I stayed there for my honeymoon 8 years ago and found the mosquitoes to be horrendous. Much prefer the beach side.

It wasn't bad. Great shade everywhere, camp kitchens were good. Showers and toilets a bit dated but as clean as they could be in the peak time we were there. The only real objection I had was the ants in the sand. I've got two little boys, 6 and 3 so all they wanted to do was play in the sand but there were a lot of ants in the sand and they kept getting bitten. It might have just been our particular site though. We just made sure we spent each day out and about and only came back in time for dinner though and that solved the problem for us.

                        Folks

We (Stewy, LFAR and myself) camped about 1.2k's north of the Maheno, we had a great spot with shade under some she-oaks. The nearest camper to us was about 100mts away so a secluded spot (except for the resident dingo that dropped in around 3.00am most mornings). We watched the storm but all we got was about 10 minutes of light rain, not enough to wash the dust off the cars.

Tiny we dropped in to Cathedral Beach several times and I thought I saw your Prado driving down the beach one day. All in all a great time still didn't get to do all the things we wanted to do in the 8 days, so somethings for the next trip.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.

                          Hey Richo,

You probably would have seen us. We drove past there most days. Sorry, we didn't see you at all. What did you miss out on that you would've liked to get to? We stuck to mainstream stuff since we were only there 5 days and didn't have any other cars travelling with us. I'm planning to organise a boys trip though and try some of the less travelled tracks when I don't have the kids to worry about. Might see a bit more then.

                            Hi Tiny

We did the major drives, up to Sandy Cape, Kingfisher Bay for lunch, but missed out on going to the west side of the island, Wathumba Ck, Moon Pt, Urunga etc. Simply ran out of time as we had to get back each afternoon on the front deck, here is the view.

                            Richo.

You would've been right coming back later. We planned to get back early to avoid the high tides and missed it nearly every day. We crossed Eli a couple of times within an hour of high tide and once dead on high tide just as night was coming on and we managed. That's why I'm saving some of that up for a boys trip though so that if the tides beat us, we can just sleep in the car till we can get through. Not recommended for kids though. Did you see the articles about the ute at moon creek though? Someone wasn't having a good day:

                                Hi Tiny

I saw three Amaroks being recovered, maybe the lack of low range can't be made up by an 8 speed gearbox.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.
