My girlfriend and I just bought a Prado to see all of Australia (we're here on a working holiday from Sweden) and we will begin our trip from Sydney on the 13th with the 1st stop Newcastle and if I'm reading the map right Ourimbah is on the way?
So I'd think that would be an excellent start on our trip
PS. I've owned several Jeeps in Sweden and have gone plenty off-road, so hopefully I will not be just another tourist in your trails

As you have just bough the Prado and are heading off around OZ, I would hate you to damage it at the start of your trip. Have a look through some of the old trip reports from Ourimbah to see what your in for. We wont be doing every track featured but a few of them and let me know if you are still interested.
Meeting time will be about 9am but I will add a trip thread with full details when there are confirmations that others are coming along.

I have looked through them (thanks for the heads up) and although they seem to be a bit of a challenge I think we could manage. No matter if I chicken out to early and go back and be on my way to newcastle it would still be fun to meet other ppl here in OZ and also see other prados.
Maybe my car is an old member of yours, but it has been lifted (not sure if it's 2" or more) but everything seems to be properly done so I'd like to join you and give it a try (if nothing bad happens during the blue mountain expedition next week - knock on wood).
