There's no hard 4x4ing in the tops that I know of, just a little mud. It's more of a get away and to enjoy the change of scenery (1,200m altitude). Last time I had a Grand Vitara with sagging original suspension, D694's and it was well suited except for one mud hole - it completely bottomed out so took the chicken track instead. Another vehicle with 32" MTZ's got through everything with ease.

Well today I left the Prado fraternity and picked up the 80 series.
Its time to get it dirty. Anyone free this weekend? I'm easy for location, but preferably somewhere not requiring diff locks (for the moment
).

You will be suprised Declan how much further the 80 will go without lockers compared to the prado with a locker. You cant beat live axles both ends with coils over IFS. Live axle will beat em every time...Cheers SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. No mods yetComment

oh and i finally got to use the winch the other day. Decided to check out riverstone seeing i was going past it. WOW it has been chopped up out their pretty bad. Just trying to get in i was left with the front wheels hanging in the air and with no tree infront of me i thought i was screwed till i noticed a little shrub with a trunk about 20cm round. With nothing else thier i hooked up the which and away i went (must have had deep roots).
