That red drill thingy is a right angle chuck from Bunnings ($13.95). My drill did not want to fit up in the space and let me drill out the holes. With this chuck in place it made life really easy.

... and all of this was in forum posts - right here - on Pradopoint.

Never being one to claim having an original thought - I love this forum for it's ideas and "How to's".

Welcome MikeA come along and get your car dirty,Some of the tracks are a bit scratchy but we will try to go around the bad ones. No one really wants to scratch a new paint job.
If you don't get bogged your not trying hard enough
Ive worked out a new track we can do .Its more like two rocks to Moore river then road to seabird then across to my special secret car wash area/bbq/play area.I'll brief everyone at macs on Sunday .We may work out a meet up point for stragglers or pass on a mobile number?
      Anyway must go.

Several years taking a Challenger places few other Challengers have ever been has seen plenty of scratches, boggings etc; my challenge will be trying to treat this car a little kinda

Boring White, stock standard except for proper recovery points on front & shortly a decent air compressor. I spent too much on the car to do anything else to it yet

Aaww Mike - there's no such colour as boring white .

It's all good - just think of it as a blank canvas for your very own masterpiece.

Hey guys.. :!: Just a note for the Alkimos area. Apparently the rangers and cops have been onto this area a bit lately. There is a sign up at the end of Marmion Ave about the fines. $1000 fine. The sign has been up for years, but obviously they're actually enforcing it at times now. Prob best to give it a miss if considering it.
The other Wilbinga-Seabird area we will be using is all good. 8)

Sounds like Wilbinga is the way to go.

I don't need to cough up any more dough before the trip.

                Righty'o Gentlemen.

I have 1 day off from renovations. I have already put my hand up for a trip up the powerlines on the Saturday. But I have never been to this Seabird place or any of the other places mentioned.

I will speak to the better half and see what the go is.
I like the Idea of the pradopoint trip for the fact its Prados and to see other works of art on the same canvas.
I like the later start. Saturday is a 9AM Jobie.

There are other mitigating circumstances as well but leave it with me.

                Wife & 2 kids.

Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

What if you tell her you're too sick to renovate and need some fresh air.

                        Thanks for the welcomes.

Looking good for Sunday - just a few things to confirm first..

and I have a few questions of everyone one here.

                        1. Is it a dog friendly day or do I leave my 'kids' at home?

                        2. What time is it likely to wind up?

                        importantly...
                        3. What do I need to buy/steal/borrow on Saturday so I can play on Sunday?
                        - my Prado is stock standard as far as I know with Grandtrek AT20s
                        - I will borrow a compressor from a friend (haven't bought one yet til I get a chance to do some research)
                        - should I organise some recovery points (should be able to DIY on Saturday). Suggestions???

                        4. I have handhelds - what channel will be used?

I am sure I should ask heaps more, but have no idea what to ask really.

                        Cheers

I'm not sure about the dogs, i'm interested in knowing about that also. As for the recovery gear, don't stress too much for this trip as i'm sure there will be plenty between us. A few of us have compressors also. I've been helped out before, so don't mind helpin others out.

                            Hey Fishnuts

I've never been up there so I'm not sure about the dog situation.

Compressors aren't an issue- there's plenty of underbonnet units and I've still got the portable in the car.

There's plenty of straps, shackles and stuff - and Justo's got a winch
( Don't let on that I said, It's 'cause he needs one )

Looking forward to meeting a real Itchy - ologist (and learning how to spell it  )

                            Cheers
