No problem, there's always someone who can lend you a handheld radio, same with air compressor for pumping up tyres at the end of the day. If you're lucky someone will pump up your tyres free of charge (ask williade as his comp. is brand new & loves to show it off... 8) )
Cheers,
Glenn

OK, we just came back from a massive weekend in the South Coast hinterland. Awesome firetrials in that part of the world. Best of all, apart from a few extra pin stripes, the Boomslangmobile is still OK. I'm definately not ruling Mt. Walker out but will make a decision after I walked it.

On the bright side I've JUST finished installing a UHF so at least I'll be online during the day

I look forward to some photos! In the mean time, another Mt Walker vid. This time from the past, when the lower section still had some soil amoungst the rock... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5SVbHBnJjA
Well i'm back in town, so i'll come along tomorrow, sounds like it'll be a good day out.
Glenn, do you want me to meet you guys at our usual entrance to Lidsdale off the highway? You guys should be there 10:15-10:30?
Yes Jeff we'll meet you at the usual spot then. I just hope I get my car back today; my mechanic has it in for service plus trying to fix an engine misfire.
Cheers,
Glenn

Vehicle is still at my mechanics as he's trying to fix this rather elusive engine misfire which has been getting real bad the last week or so. I won't get it back till Thursday maybe  :?:
Can someone else lead this trip :?:

That's a damn shame Glenn, sorry to hear that.
I can get everyone over the mountains, but I'll need the details of JeffH's "usual" meeting point. [ED]
From there we'll work it out - a few of us have been there before and I have a topo map.
The only concern is getting out of the forest. If the conditions are right I may cease the 4x4ing at lunch and just chill at the river for the arvo. So the others will need a lead out.....
I take it everyone will know how to get home from Lithgow? (it's my first PP trip, so I don't know what usually goes on in the arvo's)

Bugger, perhaps Declan or one of the other guys coming along might like to have you along as a passenger if you still wanted to come out.
If not, I'm sure between those of us that have been there we can come up with a plan of attack for the day.
