    More great shots there Justo

Pitty WA is a bit far for a day trip... looks like you all had a great day out.
    Cheers, Leon

Aaaww c'mon Snaga. I'm heading over to Brissy in a couple of weeks - just for a drive around - and to give the Prado a decent 'clean out' run.

      Cheers

Absolutely great shots for what looked like a perfect day from what I have seen so far. I am still trying to finish downloading the first page (have been at it for over an hour as I can only get 31.2 dial-up).

Can't wait till NSW gets onto the sand

Great productions Russ WA... Looks like you needed a traffic controller in the last water sections

What tyre pressure were you guys running on that sand hill that a few people had trouble with??
            Cheers, Leon

Not sure about everyone else but I was running on about 18psi. I didn't want to drop any lower unless it was needed.

The first hill I didn't even get close - tyres were still hard. The other one that took me two shots was about 22. I eventually went to 18 too and got through everything.

But that was my first day out in the prado, so being a good virgin, I was taking it slow and testing things out a bit.

It was great to watch all the more experienced guys and then again watch Russ' vids. I learnt heaps - cheers.

Just not enough momentum on the first hill mate. I was still on 40psi

Yeah, thanks mate - I started figuring that out by the end of the day. Any and all advice happily accepted!

and btw, I wasn't blaming tyre pressure for that one - it was because of what was behind the wheel ops: . One day I'll get the guts to push it like you do the grande....but then again it's a TD with lower kW than the VVTi, so I'll have to figure it out a bit differnetly, I guess.

as I said, I had a great day and enjoyed the opportunity to learn by watching and talking.

Looking forward to the next one.

Oh and you had the dogs in the back.. 8) Mine was a bit over it by the end of the day, (dont know why) but she was keen to get back in last night to go for a drive. So guess it hasn't scared her off.!
You did well mate, I didn't see you bogged anywhere. First time out in sand and not bogged, you must've done something right..

                        Hi Russ.

I finally got a chance to watch the videos.

                        Good job.
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

You're right there. The few tiny spots of mud were taken care of by the natural car wash. Weekends like this need MUD.

But have a look HERE at Jeff's pics from his 4WD club's trip out to the Harvey hills. I reckon there's enough mud here to satisfy most cravings.

This is where Jeff wants us to go - for the next trip, and after the VVTi's had so much fun on the sand, this is where the diesels will show their strengths.

                              Cheers
