  • Hey Andrew, somewhat OT but did you ever find a better spring base for the sand flags? I know about your fold down bracket but don't have a roof rack, just rails and cross bars.

Thank you for the compliments dwr. I actually do have proper packaging but having delay issues with the local company that makes the box for me.

A tip for the install is to mount the spacer and run some wiring through the supplied bolt with hole in one hit. Also make sure that the way you terminate the wiring through the door allows the spacer to be removed for crash repair purposes.
No worries at all AMTS. I still need to get an appropriate switch for on the dash and the fitting will be complete. I am being fussy with the switch, I want it to match all my others with the blue back light.

Good quality, bit of play in the quick release but to be expected.

Quick spin, starts to shack badly @ ~60KM/h but settle down @ 100KM/h and above. Would not recommend turning light on while driving as it can spin around and shine in your eyes (not good @ high speed).

        Bernie.

The supplier sent me one but it's a different thread

Might be easier mounting the fold down bracket to your new awning.

Didn't think of that. If Toll (Not So) Fast ever deliver it I can have a look at doing that.

All will be fitted this weekend.
One hour fifteen and tyre spacer fitted, slightly longer than I thought due to the dirt on the back door being stubborn. Still got to fit the light pole but as I haven't bought or decided on the light yet not overly concerned with that, what have others used by the way of lights. Once again Andrew excellent job on the product and will also order another light pole and uhf bracket when

              • I used a 27W LED from eBay. Seller is Sunyee (no affiliation). It comes with M10 bolt but use the supplied bolt and washer that comes with the telescopic pole and the washer will sit perfectly in between the indentations of the light bracket. You can then rotate the light at any angle on the pole, which means that the wire will exit the light and enter the pole on the same plane. Ensure loctite is used.

OK noted. The extra mounting bases will come with the quick release bit also so you will have 2 spares of the quick release bit or use it to mount other things that need a quick release.
