Guest repliedSounds electrical. You'll need to open up the shifter box and have a look. Normally the floppiness is in the left - right motions but the gear changes still reflect the position of the gear stick.

So, sometimes it takes a while or a few goes tapping the lever left and right to get my auto box to grab L or 2nd. Does that sound like it would be related to this or is it an electrical selector or something?

Guest repliedYes, new pin and spring will fix it. New lid is not required. The wear on the lid will still go on though. But probably another 5+ years of life reclaimed with the repair kit.

i'll be happy with that solution compared to replacing the entire box!!!!!!!

My pin had come out, put it back in and tried again and it just keeps popping out. Will the new spring and pin fix this? Do I need a new lid as well?Last edited by crabman; 24-01-2015, 04:56 PM.
