I am only in the planning stages and like everyone...trying to keep costs down. Does anyone know how MUMSRIG's set has fared over the last five years??? MUMSRIG, are you out there??? Has anyone else used MDF and in a position to tell how they stand up to the test of time. I intend to house some pretty heavy gear in my drawers, recovery kit, drag chain, and stuff like that.

Had a few family dramas of late so progress has been slow. Almost finished and a couple of updated photos are attached. Will post an installed photo/s in next few days. All up cost about $600. Major costs were drawer runners $200 (bottom fit 3mm steel), Ply $110, Carpet $90, Glue $40, T Handles $84.
Cheers

Hi I am planning to build some drawers myself and am wondering what thickness marine ply to use. I see alot of you use 15mm and as I want to keep weight down was wondering if anyone has used 12mm and if so how strong did it turn out. I will go to the 15mm if I have to but don't see the point if 12mm will do fine. I did ask the plywood supplier in town who seemed to think 12mm would be fine. Suggestions please.

I've read through lots, but not all the posts on draw systems but haven't seen anyone mention what they now do about accessing their car jack if and when they need it?
Do you re-locate it somewhere else or use an aftermarket jackCheers, Leon

Ok, so here's as close as I get get down on paper as to what's in my head...
It's based on my needs for my carrying camera gear and lighting for work so on the RHS will go my two lighting bags and up top will be my light stand bags and camera bags. (with cargo barrier to keep things in check)
LHS is the Engel fridge slide with Waeco fridge on it.
The draws are an addition to what I had in my 90 series...
It will sit higher than the 90 system, 700mm from base to top shelf (roughly the top of the middle seat headrest of the 2nd row seats)
Can anyone see any issues with where I'm heading with this? I'll need to take into account access to the jack and side areas so maybe I'll do some wings on the top shel to take it to the edge of the car.Cheers, Leon
