My Battery is still going in 05 120 V6 Grande. It's a Panasonic. I bought the Prado 2nd hand 3 years ago thinking it was the original battery & have been waiting for it to fail ever since but to this day no problems at all.

My original battery [Nov-o5 build] is still going strong in my old Peugeot 504 where it has been residing since I took it out of the V6 prado before a big outback trip in June 2010. BUT I have today just put in the 3rd battery into the Prado since then! 1st one expired 4 months after CSR trip; 2nd one a heavier duty 650 CCA has lasted 33 months and died suddenly- also has done a lot of outback work. 3rd one is a 550CCA AC Delco recommended by the auto sparky [ who also did a current leak test at the same time]. Fingers crossed for a long life for it with no trips planned. part of the problem I suspect is that the Prado often sits in the garage for most of the week and often only gets 2 20 km runs on the weekend. Bought my prado D4D new Sep-2007 (built May 2007) with now 194,937km on the clock & had to buy a new battery today as it only just started this morning
I reckon 7yrs & 10 months is a good run for OEM battery (GS Nippon Denchi 105D31L-MF)
Replaced it with a Century N70ZZL4WD And got it for $218.

Don't let Toyota fit one of their replacement batteries - they leak when used off-road. I got 11 months out of one.Dave
