Beware Injectors Express - Ebay ID motorco01

    Hi All,

Just another note to beware of the ebay seller "motorco01" also trading as Injector Express.

He has updated his ad to list that the parts he is selling are equivalent oem part numbers 23670-30140, 23670-39185, 23670-39186, 23670-30140 23670-0L090 so he may come up in a search when you type these in.

The parts are wrong and the solendoid is 180 degrees around the wrong way. I have photos attached to as I bought these and then endured a long Paypal dispute to get them returned as he refused to believe that they were the wrong part. I have shown the original part next to his new part. They also have a 32 code not 11 or 13 as they should be.

The guy has reduced these from $370 to $290 and now has a "Super Sale" at $240. He is desperate to get rid of them so PLEASE don't be caught out by the low price. These parts won't work in your Prado despite his spurious claims and he is a blatant liar on ebay.

    Regards
    Ross

Due to the number of injector kits I purchased last month - for PP members and at the workshop here
Toyota NZ (dealer) has increased the discount by $50 NZD on the kits for this month only - which gets passed on to you - refer to previous posts re pricing or PM me for details

also available is the 4x injectors with seating washers - (no pipes) $1835 NZD - (approx $1625 AUD shipped to your door)

Note, Australian banks charge for "over the counter" transactions - of approx $80AUD !!
Internet transactions are as low as $20 AUD

Have a great and safe weekend all

Hey guys I am just curious why nobody mentions the Baileys injectors and how much cheaper they are. They are on this forum as a supplier but nobody has any advice on them even though they claim to be better than the Denso ones.

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9ky-PVkRMw

I don't know about either brand so just asking because it is strange that a product made here to a higher standard for cheaper is not on the top of the list to use.

I have a set - the big winner was their customer service.

            Excellent feedback mate.

I will definetly give them a look when it comes time to do. To be honest surprised they aren't advised to members to use more often if they are that much cheaper and better. I must be missing something.

Hello thebigo, I wanted the genuine injectors, my choice, and Rick NZ offered the best deal. Remember to properly compare you have to include the pipes, seals, seats and delivery. Any variation in the exchange rate can affect the price here. I am still satisfied that $1900 delivered plus $500 fitted including intake and EGR cleaning is a damn good price.

              Regards

                Hi Thebigo,

I gave Baileys Diesel a big wrap on page 11 of this thread. At $800 cheaper than grey market imports and thousands of dollars cheaper than Toyota Australia they are a bargain.

Combined with the fact that they have been individually blueprinted and tested locally and as they are remanufactured and only being shipped around locally. the cost on the environment is far less.

I have them myself and whilst it has only been around 1,000 kms so far, I am very happy with them and would highly recommend them.

For us Perth (WA) PP folks, does anyone know of any reputable places to have their diesel injectors fitted, intake/EGR cleaned they would recommend (that charge reasonably)?

It seems like a job that would require someone who knows what they are doing for a proper installation, I would not want to take mine to the local shop that have never done the procedure before. I don't need it done just yet *touch wood* but will do in the not too distant future as a precautionary measure (only done 105,000kms).

                    Cheers

Mine went bang at 73000km, 2 failed injectors = 2 blown pistons.

                      • Well I have now joined the disgruntled Toyota dealers group after getting my car serviced.

18 months ago they said my no 2 injector needed replacing as it was out of spec. Yes it started the knock. Had it replaced $ 1500. This service(150k) , 18 months / 30,000k later service manager said same cylinder now out of spec at 3,4 and needs replacing. Warranty was 12 months so I have to pay. he also said 2 others are almost out of spec and they recommend all 4 to be changed. So one out of spec, two close and one almost zero. I say change the one out of spec as a limit is a limit. Tried to say you should get more than 18 months out of an injector but he said out of warranty. book it in get it done.

Went to pick up and he starts telling me a story how the new injector is still out of speck because I did not change all 4 injectors. He tells me it's all my fault for not listening to the Toyota mech recommendations. Tells me the new injector is over compensating for the other worn injectors. Sounds like crap to me but I don't know enough to argue back. Basically told me and backed it up on the service sheet. " New No 2 injector out of spec as customer did not follow our recommendations as injector now trying to compensate for other injectors" So now after getting my car service by a dealer it is worse off then when I went in to get it fixed. Injector Readings before it went in #1 was 2.7, #2 was 3.5, #3was 2.6, and #4 was 0.3. Now after getting a new 316 injector fitted to no 2 cylinder the readings are #1 has dropped to 0.3 better (why the drop) , #2 worse -4.0 (the new one) #3 no change at 2.6 and #4 now 0.6. So with a knocking noise and my new $1300 injector reading worse than when I went in they told me they can do no more and it's all my fault for not changing the lot as per their recommendation.

So can injectors over compensate as they say? They agree that only one is out of limit but still recommend all 4 changed. I just don't know how the system works, or is all this just BS and I need to take it higher? As I said all this is written on their service sheets of which I took a copy.
                        Ideas thoughts please
Do I need to change all 4? Is it a faulty new 316 injector.?

                        • Hi Chris,
                          Which Toyota dealer was this?
I would love to show your report to the Toyota dealer I have been dealing with, who would not change all 4 injectors when 2 of mine were out of spec .
He was adamant that Toyotas policy was only to change the out of spec injectors.
I hope you get your issue sorted out asap, and it won't be long before someone jumps on here and gives you the advice you need.
                          Cheers

                          • The dealer agreed with me that if it was done under Toyota warranty they would only have changed the one that was out of spec. But since it was not a manufactures warranty claim then that's why they said to do all 4.

I assume a negative number means the injector is trying to deliver more fuel and the ECU is correcting to hold it back. So 1 and 4 seem to be worn and 2 and 3 blocked?

Idle injection volume was 9.08mm3/st. Not sure the normal idle volume for normal AF ratio.
