Any idea what you're gonna replace it with? Ours had had a beating but don't want anything that hangs lower than OEM.

Looking forward to having 8 cylinders up front. The mods list is very long and I'm looking forward to building it up now that the Prado has served me well.Originally posted by 4thsurf View PostOh and Bushbasher you'll love the VDJ. I removed the main fuel tank bash guard to clean out the Qld. mud and pebbles from our July trip.
Also parked her up on the front lawn/moss rocks to give the tank a clean and the chassis rails a thorough flush out.
Now to replace that tank guard.

While not today something is done to the Prado each week or so to slowly build her up to where I want her. With a couple of RDOs this week I fitted the rear spoiler and it really adds to the whole look of the car and finishes it off nicely (write up and pics are on the aussie120 FB page). But for reasons unknown to me in the last few days every second 120 that I see running around seems to have one. This did not seem to be the case before I fitted the spoiler. Them seems to be breeding..

Guy at work does the vinyl wrap, might look at some scratch protection for the sides.Originally posted by Bushbasher View PostNo, I can't afford to take a $100K perfect 200 series and cut the back off. Mine will look something like this:

My engine went pop at 166,000 km for all of the reasons discussed on other threads. It had a new engine installed at that time and the oil dropped at 167,000 km, oil pick up checked and injector values monitored.
I have recently completed a trip to western Queensland and was not able to get a 5000 km service whilst travelling. Therefore had the real service done today - 175,000 km and all was well - oil pick up clean and injector values -0.9; -0.6; 0.5; 0.1 Vol 5.2. Also had an EGR blanking plate (with 7mm hole) installed.
I and my garage are now hyper vigilant.

Come back from Bathurst 1000 some weeks ago so time for a service.
Engine oil, filter, fuel filler between tanks and under bonnet (Racor), air filter, replace diff and transfer oils, grease tail shafts, rotate tyres and fit new under body plate.
Do all the usual checks, fill out the service manual, give her a bath and make a cup of coffee. Yep Prado likes coffee too.
I'm Exhausted time for zzzzzzz
Hazzzzzzzzzza.........
