Finally fitted the full egr blanking plate with the manual mapper, I forgot to put a rag down when fitting the plate, so I had to pull off the bash plate to retrieve it, easy enough though

What did I do to my 120 today? Err bought it....so hi.
Upgrading from a 99 Forester which was a weekend/bush vehicle and been looking since i got a boat which was a struggle towing in the Foz. This Prado seemed like a good deal after initially looking at some 90's online. The dealer picked my up from my work during lunch yesterday so now I am the somewhat hesitant owner....still getting used to the size. Has been dealer-serviced for most of it's life so I'm pretty comfortable about taking the plunge. Will probably looking to do some modest mods (battery/drawers) so will be lurking and occasionally asking for advice.1 PhotoLast edited by maxdacat; 11-07-2018, 08:19 PM. Reason: Sorry - these pcis are driving me nuts (no idea why so small??)

How many times have you put an aftermarket stereo in a car, if I added all mine up I’d have close to enough to buy a new car, so today I ripped out the aftermarket stereo that came with the car and put an oem one in that I picked up for free from someone who was throwing it out to fit an aftermarket one.
Yesterday I purchased some reverse sensors and that’ll do just fine, so now looking forward to listening to music and driving my Prado. And the owner left me a CD so another bonus.

Does anyone know where to get a replacement spring for the fuel filler door. Mine has lost its tension so if I don't rebend it every time I fill up then next time I have to get someone to pry the door open while I pull the release cable.

My headlights had some type of film over them and I was thinking I’ll have to replace them, then I read on the net about using toothpaste to clean them, so gave it a try and brings them back to like original, always good to know that it can be used for more things than just your teeth, a bit like coke.
I also just purchased some new spotties on fleabay which come with DRL’S, 9 inch LED’S $215

Popped all the interior lights out and gave them a good clean, secured the uhf properly and placed locking wheel nuts on the spare wheel, nice easy day

After a 4200km return trip to Birdsville from Sydney to which we returned on Thursday it was time to clean the car. On the way up as soon as we hit the Development Rd it rained so copped a heap of mud. Then 30mm of rain in Birdsville on Monday night 2 weeks ago and a trip out towards Poeppel Corner with a very muddy track either side of Eyre Creek left one very dirty Prado. Then if it wasn’t muddy it was dusty so the inside of the car copped it as well. Several hours later today we have a clean car again. Tomorrow it is the Expanda’s turn.
