First thing this morning I fitted the new Prado sticker for the bonnet protector.
then I took the cover off the intercooler and then tried to undo the plug so I could do the EGR plate, bloody thing wouldn’t budge and I thought shit how do I get my hand in there to put the plate in. So I just fitted the manual mapper for today, I was also going to clean the EGR.
so then moved on and plugged in ELM327 to OBD2 and set that up, no codes all working correctly.

Purchased a manual mapper and a egr plate, so hopefully this weekend I’ll be doing a egr clean and then installing the mapper.

Yes thanks mate, I found a post on here and worked it out after I had written it, makes sense nowOriginally posted by LowRange View PostWhen you fill up with 180 liters, the gauge will be on full. It will drop to 1/2 which is the first 90 litre tank complete, then the guage will jump to full again and a green 90L light will come on letting you know you are on the second tank. Then this will go to empty like a normal tank. It's unusual at first, but that's how they work and when you get used to it it makes sense.
A ScanGuage is really handy, i run distance to empty as one of the gauges and litres per 100 as another which makes fuel calculations really easy.

I done the same thing yesterday, polished the yellow out of the headlights. Also washed and detailed the whole car, polished the bullbar, and got the number plate lights working. In an hour shes booked in to get a new front windscreen fitted.Originally posted by tez1 View PostGave the headlights a bit a spit and polish yesterday to bring them up. Turned out better than I expected. Not 100% brand new, but close enough.

Back home in Karratha, good feeling not to have to fill up along the way. Although there are some strange going ons with fuel ⛽️ gauges.
as I said yesterday 618ks still over half a tank, well at the halfway mark gauge rises to full 90 litres left, so as it changed over I noted 830kms, so kept driving and the second tank moves more quickly than the 1st, but I knew I could get around 800ks out of the second tank.
so anyone had that before where the gauges are out of whack, bit scary as it was it’s maiden voyage but we got there safely.
