High speed steering wheel wobble

Yeah I thought so too... strange that they have no play in them at all though.
Especially given I read about people having heaps of play in the bearings and not noticing... maybe I am sensitive

Update:
Fitted new japanese wheel bearings (nsk) and issue remains.. possibly slightly improved but that might just be me willing it to be fixed.

as far as i can tell there is really only 1 thing left in the front which is wheels themselves.

can alignment cause this?

Could it be over torqued lug nuts? It should only be 85ftlbs. Had my wheels balanced because of same problem you described but did not solve the steering wheel shake. Snapped a stud when I removed wheels to rotate them back to front. Changed the stud and torqued it to spec and problem solved.

Is the wobble consistent at the speeds on different roads as well? Is the steering shaft and all in good condition as there is a common issue with the lower intermediate shaft however the symptoms of that are more like a "loose" steering wheel, which is more apparent I find when the tyres are pumped up over say 35 psi.

Otherwise, have you tried just swapping the rear wheels on to the front to see if it is still there?

Yeah = swap fronts for rears... if it is still there, it's not the wheels

Already tried changing wheels front to back with no change to the steering wobble/shake.

also already checked lower intermediate shaft uni.. no play. Had the guy who did last alignment check it also he reported no play anywhere.

I put all my wheels with tyres on my dads 95 series prado and the steering shake went to his car.

soooo i bit the bullet and bought some 150 prado gxl wheels with passenger construction d697's on them about half worn.
fitted them and the shake is GONE!!!

Now, given i have checked my wheels on car with a dial indicator for radial and lateral runout and found 0.3mm radial runout which i believe to be in spec.
had balance checked many times including hunter road force balance which indicated 10kg road force variation and yellow ie warning in one spot on each tyre.

i must come to the conclusion the d697LT tyres are out of round or have an imperfection.
have asked bridgestone to look at them but they say they cannot find any evidence of tyresales buying through official channels therefore no warranty with bridgestone aus.
tyresales state they have an nda with their supplier and cant tell me who they are.

soo that leaves me with the pack of ar$€ holes that is tyresales.com.au who wont even have the tyres inspected. I feel i will end up at qcat.
