Let me think about it. No. I have some Kinchrome and Bluepoint ones that work well.

I'm sure the coyote would have plenty of ACME gear. 😄Originally posted by mjrandom View PostACME threaded rod is easy enough to get hold of.

9 yr old girl in the carpark. Crazy stuff had to call the cops and wait to make sure lady was safe. My wife and I both copped a few blows. Hats off to carers I wouldn't be able to do that job. Anyway back on topic , I believe this should be on the tick me off thread

They would be easy enough to make once the Acme thread and nut was sourced.

Hey Andrew,Originally posted by AJ120 View PostJust walked down to the shed and took a pic just for you Mark, even an action shot
I made 4 of these around 25 years ago I reckon, never did get around to painting them though
Fortunately I can use whatever I like and no one tells me they don't meet OH&S standards, these have served me well for over 2 decades and I reckon will still be working fine when I am long dead and buried.

Sorry about the crappy IPhone pic, couldn't be bothered digging out the good camera.
Cheers Andrew
Thanks for the pikkies!
Believe it or not, it was actually very difficult to find something I was happy with while working on the rear end and dropping the diff while doing measurements.
I did a lot of research on jack stands, and was very disappointed with what is available in Australia.
I personally don't like ratcheting mechanisms or pins, as they have both failed and killed people. The 8t stands from trade tools are high enough that you don't need to lift the ratchet.
...now that I know about your hands on construction skills, take a look at these, as this is what I really want! Tall threaded jack stands are available...but prolly very pricey to get here, so can you make these???

Sorry if this is diverting from your thread a bit Matt, but AJ needs to head back to the shed now and start welding!!!

I use the 8000kg versions from trade tools, as then you don't need to use the lever, much safer!

I wish we could use the old ones at work, they were made by Dad years and years ago, much better than the ones we use now. Apparently workplace health and safety doesn't like home made stuff......Originally posted by AJ120 View PostI made my own

Hey,Originally posted by craigm View PostMatt, have a look on the Trade Tools website. 3000kg stands for $58 for the pair. Identical as the Kinchrome at SCA only orange in color
