Hi Turtle60Originally posted by Turtle60 View PostWell after quite A bit of huffing and puffing and redoing stuff because of not great instructions my TJM bar has made it on the Prado. Any chance you can share the instructions for the TJM bar as i am considering tackling this one myself too.
Cheers

Just get one of the Mobile One antennas with the raised feed and dual whips, leave the shorter one on around town like I do.Originally posted by Checkers View PostThe aerial will have to be removed for parking inside my garage due to an awkward down hill entry.

BTW, I have a TJM T13 bar and the top of the bar is just visible from the driver's seat. The side loops over the headlights help as well.

Height limited! Yeh that sums it up. So long as I can see the top of the tube, that acts as a reference. Will have to check out the T3 option as well.

Thanks for the replies.

The Sahara and T3 bars are only just visible from the driver's seat, more a problem if you are height limited. The T3 is bettter which is one of the reasons I went with it. As Craig said if you put an aerial on top then it is easy to see.Originally posted by Checkers View PostHi really love the look of the Sahara bar and was wondering if the loop is visible from the drivers seat?
Reason being is that I am finding it hard to judge where the front of my new Prado is when parking. My previous Terracan had a lower bonnet line and nudge bar which made parking much easier.I keep finding myself parked too far back from cars.Doh!

Certainly visible on my 120 and I dare say looking at this image is the same on the 150 Checkers. Having said that, put your UHF aerial up front and you have the perfect point of reference...

Yeah there doesn't seem to be many real world photos of the black on white. Probably due to their (lack of} popularity.Originally posted by cyclone View PostVery nice. I think the smart bar is the way to go.
If you would like some more photos at different angles etc let me know.
