My question was to do with idrive which was GT's solution for a problem no one else was particularly worried about. #1 son had one for a while and I was forever replacing dogbones until I made my own up. You could always tell a GT idrive without needing to see it, squeak squeak...
I am further up the hill near Brisbane. The TJM dealer a few of us have used is excellent but a bit of a drive for you. I am sure you can get the sensors fitted to a T3.
Why can't they just drill the holes for the sensors? I drive (you don't ride GT mountain bikes do you?) put your location in your profile, a PPer might be able to suggest a different installer.
Thanks Sydneydude for the advice on getting more of a gap to allow for movement.
The question about why can't they drill is valid however TJM really didn't want to know about it which was disappointing. Just updated location so i'm open to any other suggestions with regard to installation and yes 'used' to ride mountain bike, still do but quite rarely.
I chose Silver Ash colour - a brighter silver than the wheel by a couple of shades and less grey. would be a closer match to the wheels with some more grey in it. despite this it will look good regardless. I think my colour combo is great particulalrly when covered in dust! cheers
This is a great colour choice especially with a T13 or ARB deluxe bar. With my T3 and the chrome loop I've gone with pearl black, but have tossed up between black and silver. As I wanted a bumper cut, I concluded that black is better at masking the gap and the black mould.
Very interesting - Just yesterday I went to TJM to place and order for T3 and XGS lift, however whilst going through how they 'handle' the headlight washers on my VX (they were going to replace OEM with black squirters). I discovered that the T3 doesn't cater for front parking sensors. Unfortunately this was a deal breaker and now I'm back to the ARB Sahara bar.
I notice in your photos that you've got both the OEM washers and front parking sensors. Can I ask who did your install?
I'll send a pm re the workshop who installed it
They drilled holes in the T3 for the sensors. The OEM squirters remained, but I would recommend that you take 5mm away from the bar (before it goes to the paint shop) to ensure you've got enough room when the vehicle moves on the chassis.
