Went for TJM over ARB because of looks and compatibility with Tjm's scrub bars and side rails.
I like the black on white look, what do you guys think?

I feel that a black bar on the white car is really a good option. It interferes least with the 150 curves. I can't understand why neither of the main manufactorers Tjm/Arb do not produce bars that look more harmoniously.

i dont know the answer, has toyota crash tested its bar and confirmed it stays 5 stars, most likely? i doubt arg/tjm etc have the capaital to do this type fo work, unless they employ CFD/simulation work, if they do, is this data available?

Anyone have any proper data for the 150 series and a bullbar in a crash?

(yes, a big bar should give you another layer of protection, but its changing the crash structure dynamics of the vehicle which will change the way the car deforms and performs in an incident)..
If you ask your TJM store nice enough the should be able to share this data / report with you, all their bars (as are ARB's) are crash tested on a real physical car and finite testing is also carried out. TJM and ARB do this for each model of bar per vehicle, not like some other companies that use the 'same bar' one bar fits all method... This is to ensure the correct operation of the airbags in a crash situation with a bullbar, side bars or side steps installed. Pretty cool to see it done, TJM used to have their own testing facility in Brisbane however it is all done by an independent company in SA.

I doubt u would be worse off, all the big companies do air bag testing they have to meet design standards.

half of that rating is probably for pedestrian safety... i can imagine it would only get worse make sure after getting your bar you stay off the footpath.

Thanks for that pic mate, i think you just sold me on a sahara over the deluxe.

A bit ot, but does anyone know how much lighter the sahara is compared with the arb deluxe? I cant find specs anywhere and the cracking guards thing still sits in the back of my mind whilst bar shopping...

The ECB has a bar at the bottom, I had one of these on a rav 4, very solid with good protection.

does toyota have a tall nudge bar option? ive seen Kluger and Landcruiser's fitted with a toyota tall nudge bar (the prado nudge bar is short??)

https://www.toyota.com.au/static/ima...ar-940x529.jpg this is a picture of the toyota 200 series version.

this is the prado version, its too low, antennas need to be above the bonnet http://www.toyota.com.au/static/imag...ar-620x349.jpg

keen to mount some small antennas, but not a winch or the protection a full bar offers? (and dont like the website photos of the arb/tjm/etc ones I see)

can anyone with simple nudge bars post photos? thanks
