    Bull bar - 70kg
    Second battery - 25kg
    Winch - 38kg
    Compressor - 8kg
    Under body guards - 15kg

That's a total 156kg of which about 140kg is hanging over the front of the wheels (any big bumps are going to multiply the force on the front of the car). Once you throw a few people and gear in the car the static load is going to be close to the 150s axle limit of 1450kg (I'm guessing its around 1250kg empty). I'm surprised that there is so little margin.
My winch is 23kg (tigerz11 12000lb with rope)
8kg for a compressor sounds a bit high unless you have the new twin ARB, although I haven't weighed mine but I don't recall it being anywhere near that heavy.
Second battery may go 25kg, but that and the compressor can both be mounted elsewhere if front axle weight is a concern, my battery is in the rear in the 120, no problems at all.

    Cheers Andrew

I'm glad you understand people choosing lift but for the life of me I can't understand why you would "choose" bottoming out.
    I'm lost

Thanks, first time I played it there was no audio so I didn't know what it was about, spotted Pat Callinan and thought it was a Nissan ad

    Amazing scenery.

(Oops snapped with Andrew. the above was @D4D)

I didn't say that though did I, there is some great 4wdriving opportunities in central Australia, and no doubt plenty of places that I have not seen. However in my experience the requirements for suspension, ground clearance, articulation etc is a lot less than in the high country.

So once again every modification has its place it all depends on where you go and what you do.

I don't know what point you're trying to prove with that video but you don't need 4wd for that crossing just good clearance. Once you've driven Blue Rag in the VIC High Country let me know how your stock suspension handles it.

Let me pre-empt this with "horses for courses, each to their own etc".... BUT

Just for the record... been there. Still prefer my minimalist setup. Its is an interesting angle though, and a little redundant in a 150 post. I find the clearance on the 150 better enough that it doesn't create such problems as my 120s did in stock trim. The biggest clearance improvement on the 150 though is the front wheel arches as you can now get 32 inches under there without any rubbing - giving a dead easy increase in ground clearance. I have always used snorkels too & as I've probably banged on about previously I've had some nice & soft tall springs made up to restore height in the rear (same rate as OE and because I don't overload I can use original shocks - and the warranty they came with).

Anyways AJ, if you think there isn't real 4wd opportunity in Central Australia you haven't been far off the track... ;p

When did the new model come out? I gotta admit to being completely ignorant about the various ranger models, only ever heard bad things about them. Anyway it was last year and the vehicles was brand new, left the showroom got packed and headed for the CSR and broke with only a few thousand on the clock, Was pretty bad apparantly, belly was dragging on the ground after they went over a dune way too fast.

I guess it does the prove the point that all vehicles have issues and anything will break if you treat it badly enough.

AJ was that the latest T6 ranger? I heard the previous BT50/Ranger had Chassis issues, but broken in half?!?! How do Arb feel given they've just released an engineered GVM upgrade? I wonder who signed off on it? They'd be sweating if they knew.
