The recovery bridle or equaliser strap spreads the load between the 2 points. Effectively, if the bridle or strap forms a V-shape of equal length, then the load is exactly half and therefore, the factory tie down points have less of a chance of being ripped off the chassis.

Is it something like a 'recovery bridle"? i have been told the same, but at the same time i have been told by another person that they are just tie down points and separate recovery points would be "good". That's where i am more confused :?

I got told that at an ARB store too about the 120... but the recovery kit cost more than the recovery points he had for sale. coincidence?

going off on a tangent here, but the pics posted by Chris1807, esp the last one has rust colored spots on the framework? is this rust or just red dust?

    regards,

    Bert

I'm none too happy about this so be aware guys if ordering a set from Manell.
That aside, has anyone fitted them yet and how hard was it to remove the radiator out of the way?
    Dobbo.
    Hi Guys,

The information we were advised was that the 120 series points would fit 150 series if there was slight elongation made to the mounting holes, as advised we had not
actually fitted the points ourselves and were only passing the information on that we were told. However I have great news that the 150 prado points are not too far away,
as soon as I get information as to what bars they are designed to work with etc I will let you all know. We have pre ordered these so as soon as they are available we will have
    them ready to go.
I apologise if there was any misunderstanding in regards to the conversation we had about the modification apparently required for fitment and would like to replace them for
the 150 points when they are available at no charge.
    Hi Giles,

I will certainly take you up on that offer as by the time I had elongated the holes enough to line up with the chassis holes, there was only about 9mm of metal left to the outside edges and I feel this seriously comprises the strength of the points.
Fortunately I did not have the need to put them to the test on the Pradopoint Gettogether so at the moment they are purely for decoration. Please let mme know when the 150 ones arrive.

    Cheers,
    Hey,

    Yep will do mate.
