      Thanks for that insight lafar.

        Found this on part numbers:
Toyota stopped manufacturing the short ones in production month 06/2011.
The new mudflaps started production in 06/2011

The part numbers: Rear: Right- 76625 60210 - xx xx = colour i.e c0/black etc
        Left - 76626 60210 - xx

        Front: Right - 76621
        Left - 7662

Couldn't find the threads on their perfomance offroad hopefully somone can post more info here in this thread.
The new mud flaps stand up to the rough stuff very well. I have been out on trips where Patrols & Cruisers have lost mud flaps & the new flaps on the Prado had no problem at all. They are flexible enough to handle the rough stuff.
So far they get a big tick.

        Cheers

I believe it is Patrick Autocare or a company like it.

Amongst other things, they provide fitting of vehicle accessories on the wharf. Their Vehicle Processing page describes this.

                Cheers,
                LFaR.

Ok, the job is done. The new mud flaps are 110mm at the front and 150mm at the rear - roughly twice as long as the original crap ones

                  I'm happy now.

                    • Tis true and 3 weeks sounds about right. Make sure they open the box and check them before you book your car in, mine was sent with one incorrect flap.....had to wait another two weeks. Wait is over though fitting is tomorrow!

                      • Similar thing happened to me. Booked in to have them replaced only to get a call a couple of hours later to say that they had received the original short mud flaps, not the new long ones. Luckily they found another set in Perth and had them couriered over. It took the whole day, but I got my new mud flaps

                        • Mine is booked in for Friday. The service manager said it would be 3 weeks to get them in from Japan. And 3 weeks it has been. When I mentioned colour coding though, he said "we'll see what we get and colour code them here if we need to"...sounds fair to me!

                          • Rang up to book my VX in for its 30000km (well 1.5 year service as its only done 12000km) and got a nice surprise when I asked about my mud flaps, they are sitting there ready to go. Tuesday is the big day for me. They are also going to fix that damn rattle in the drivers side B pillar and hopefully stop the transmission from overheating...

                            • Daniel,

Where do you take your car to be serviced? Did you have to hassle them about getting the mud flaps replaced or is there some initiative to replace all Prado mud flaps to prevent future claims on paint and panel damage?

Have they mentioned how they're going to fix the transmission overheating?

                              • Something to watch out for. I had the new mudflaps installed a couple of months ago and on a recent trip with all the dirt on the flaps I noticed that the rear A/C evap water was running along the back of the flap.

Fixed under warranty today, apparently the hose was too short.

Must give a big rap to my Toyota dealer, they have never blinked at fixing any of the numerous small issues that have cropped up. So while its annoying to have the rattles etc, at least it hasn't been anything major, and Toyota have stood by the product.
