Fido, Id be printing up a few pages from this forum the ones which are indicating they have had theirs changed and taking it to them and be asking why are these ones getting replaced due to the same issue ??? Don't back down or they will bullshit to you. Stand your ground in a nice way, composed lol then if all else fails and they arejust not going to replace it then jump up and down and make a fuss. Generally starting off cool calm and collected will get you further.....Make sure you have written documents of this on going issue.....Cheers Steve

Mine was replaced nearly a year ago and it has been clunkless since - about 15,000 km in that time. Original clunk started at around 7k for me and went thru a few regreasings before replacement.

It might pay to list the actual dealers that have made the warranty exchange, that would add some weight to the argument for those still trying to convince their dealer this is being done.

My tail shaft clunk has been reported at every service since I purchased the 120 series new in 2009.
It gets greased and works ok for a couple of thousand kilometres before the clunk returns.
Service people have told me in the pass my model isn’t affected or it’s within tolerance.
Its booked in tomorrow for a 70000 k service and the Tail shaft clunk, fingers crossed.
