We have just bought a 150 GXL TD and now starts the usual add ons. With my 120, there are both ignition and accessory (nice thick wires) at the inside fuse box that I just spliced into and everything has worked fine for years. Reading this thread suggests that there are no such easy tap in points on the 150 or am I missing something? All these low amp wires will be usefull but only for tripping relays by the sound of it. I intend fitting quite a few gadgets (tyre pressure monitors, low coolant alarm, compressor etc) and will need a good power source for both ignition on and accessories
    Cheers...........Wayne

hi i have a prado TX (japanese version)
i've found a rear foglamp plug behind the dash trim.

there were 5 cables on to it. the green one and the blue one has a power if i put a fuse on "RR fog"
maybe the green one is power for the switch illumination. i wonder what is the other 4 cables for.

also wondering if this plug is already connected to the rear foglamp indicator on the cluster?

one more question, what is the proper amps for the fuse for rear fog?

        thanks..

          I'm wondering if there's something like this;

          https://doc-08-as-docs.googleusercon...ikqs2o16mt0ua1

For the 120 and 150 series. I've used it loads and loads when carrying out mods my 90 and find it absolutely invaluable. It gives you the size, coulor, location and pin outs of every connector and connection or split in the wiring loom and every wire coulor and more.

Can anyone help with the location of the speed pulse wire, to allow me to connect up the Jaycar KC5378 kit, to control my intercooler fan? I am trying the mod suggested by MickL re: Intercooler upgrade. I have a 2007 120 series D4D, euro spec 4.

Went to Toyota this arvo to price a genuine relay to use in the fuel heater spot as suggested.
The horn relay which I thought would fit is $81 trade !!
Anyone know where I can source a mini relay with spike protection at a fair price?
                Cheers........Wayne

Thanks for that hulbyw. I'm not sure if the wiring for the 2007 120 is the same as a 2011 150, but I'll have a look anyway. Sure would be easy to get to.

Thinking of using the fuel heater plug to power a fuse block for all my main battery accessories, ie driving light (sense only), electric brakes, rear work/reverse light(led), UHF etc.

I have a prado 150 GXL and was one wondering what the absolute easiest wire to drive a relay for additional 12v accessory plugs (ciggy style) in the rear cargo area. Would the wire to the 220v inverter be suitable given is is handy and would not draw much power?

As per footoo's post #14 on page 2, which I think you have read. Others have reported that it is 10amp fused on the 12volt outlet circuit

Has anyone put a relay into the spare but wired "rear fog" micro relay in a GXL. Im hoping to use the wiring to the rear fog ??? to run a LED rear reverse light/work light. Im thinking of using a combo of fog lights on + reverse to turn it on. any one done anything similar & can tell me wire colours or location the loom pops the rear fog light out at?

I'm trying not to run a seperate switch for the rear work light as I have plans for all of the blank switch spots on the Prado

                            Thanks Pete

Green Wire, Found at the headlight angle adjuster switch - there are two green wires here, its the one on inside pin of the plug not the outside pin (its a four pin plug).

12v constant - I am sure there will be many different locations and perhaps differing color depending on location.
