Passion for specific subjects can sometime result in these types of posts or conversions, I know myself and my work M8's have plenty like this....(except we poke faces as well).
At the moment it's Fibre Channel V's Fibre Channel over ethernet.
rail pressure chips cause injector rattle, 90% of people who have products fitted that alter rail pressures will tell you the car is much nosier then standard. where as our customers compliment us on how much quieter the engine is, especially under load.
care to explain how causing injectors to rattle is not detrimental to their engines? I would really like to see this.
Ps. Don't send a video of a piezo electric injector, because you know as well as I do, injectors in a prado are electronic solenoid injectors.
also while you're at it, could you please also show me where I can purchase a rail pressure chip from TRD? http://www.toyotaracing.com/trd/
it's not on their website
there are many times the number of Common Rail Chips in the world as there are Injector Chips and if people were having issues there would be an outcry and warning and failure EVERYWHERE.
Please remember guys, we also do injector chips and therefore can be unbiased here. Diesel Smart cannot as he only sells injector style chips.
Just take a look at his website how he tries to scare people that CHIPS are bad and MODULES are good. They are the exact same animal. A chip and module is just what some choose to call them. See our website where we use the word "module"
Not from over pressure as Diesel Smart tries to scare people to believe. Words like "over pressure" or "hammering" sounds ominous and terrible and he knows it.
Many owners have complained to Toyota about noisy injectors in standard trim. ie No Chip.
You can do a search for Toyota noisy injectors to see my point. Toyota will replace the injectors if you jump up and down long and hard enough.
With my chip fitted on some mornings when cold it sounds like someone is bashing a hammer under the bonnet. This noise is not there with the chip removed so there is definitely something going on directly related to the chip.
the noisy injector is at low RPMs or in the mornings usually and thus is not even close to the factory rail pressure limit. So to say, as you do, it is hammering the head of the injector, is utter crap.
Also, have you ever seen or heard of ANY fuel limiter coming off its seat because the pump or ECU had a failure and it had to save the day by relieving pressure back to the tank? No you haven't. A failed pump or an ECU that fails NEVER EVER will INCREASE PRESSURE. NEVER. Also, check how the injectors work. An increase in pressure does not have a bearing on the pintle (or head) An increase in pressure is balanced by the small reservoir and piston acting to open the injector.
Wrong timing my ass. Just more BS from you. Please explain why Toyota have the same noisy injectors from factory. I suppose they too are injecting diesel at the wrong time.
You really do try with all your might to shit on others with verbal diarrhea just to make a buck
also for all you people getting P0093 error, this is a result of release valve in the diesel rail. If you install the shim that some companies provide to allow them to run more rail pressure then you will not have this error code anymore. that being said, as per my previous post I do not understand why someone would happily install something that over-rides a factory safety feature of their car.
Just pulled the chip out for a service this week and noticed that my injectors are a lot quieter. Has anyone else noticed a change in injector noise with the chip?
the reason your injectors are noisy is because of injector rattle or diesel knock. It's caused by the head of the injector being hammered which is a direct result of too much diesel being injected at the wrong timing. i.e rail pressure chips increasing rail pressure at the wrong RPM's. would be extremely noisy on idle compared to standard.
for the life of me I do not understand how people still have products on their cars that are clearly causing injector rattle which dramatically reduces the life of the injector.
our products actually reduce diesel rattle not cause it. If you would like to try one of our products I can organize a try before you buy with our guy over in Perth. PM me for any further info
Hi Guys. if I can get a loan vehicle from someone in Sydney I will be able to supply 150 Prado full 3" aluminised Mild Steel systems (from turbo back) for $850.00. Price includes a Cat. W/O Cat $640.00
The loan car gets it for $500.00 with or w/o cat... your choice. I will need the car for 2 days max to make up the jig. Probably 1 day only.
I can get the guys to weld on a fitting for the EGT Controller probe too.
I will be in Sydney late October but I may need somewhere to park the caravan.
