Hi Kevin,
My Prado is a December 09 GX Model.
Newtown Toyota were able to activate the auto window feature without any trouble.
Sounds like Prosser have it not quite right.
Persist with getting the changes done.

Awesome, exactly the sort of confirmation I was after. Last thing you want to do is go in all guns blazing to be told it it only applicable to GX's => 2011 or something similar.

Quick question for those with this option programmed, does your only wind the windows up/down while you have your finger on the button or the WHOLE way as per auto up/down when controlling from driver panel?

Mine are only moving whilst pressing the button. Let go of the button and the windows stop moving.

A little off-topic but Viper alarms were mentioned earlier about not interfacing well with cars that are CANBUS. Just as a note, they have absolutely no problem interfacing with CANBUS and if you were to add the optional CANBUS interface on.... wow, the things they can do to your car for you is sweet!

Programmable features in the 150

Ok so just spent about 30 mins looking for a thread i swear i saw about having the prado 150 re programmed to do things like put all the windows up when you lock using the remote and lock all the doors when you start driving...Did i imagine this or is this possible?

Im keen for the door locking mod as there was this one time in melbourne when some chick just jumped into my car and asked for a lift to grey street......yeah not a pleasant and somewhat scary experience...

Not sure about the locking of doors while driving. -IMO I think its more dangerous having doors lock while driving.

Extra note.
For the GX & GXL the dealer can tap into the computer and set these for you. The Altitude, VX, Kaka and any vehicle that as the factory 7" multimedia unit can do these setups via the car settings menu. - please correct me if I'm wrong

Most cars lock the doors when you take off nowadays...obviously only for people trying to get in as you can still open the doors to get out. My wifes merc does it.

Does the dealer charge for this tho? i wouldnt be happy paying for a $500 'upgrade' on something they do with a simple tickbox on a computer menu....

My shitbox 2000 Audi A4 has this feature standard, including open and closing sunroof.
