Finished diy install of Zordo's bilstein/dob combo. Phew, many thanks to Zordo and Amts for respective guidance on installation.

Now what will Toyota say when they service it in the near future.

Have you felt any advantages having your transmission updated ?

I've only driven it for a half hour or so, but so far it seems urban driving is smoother. There is a dedicated thread with some other's experiences, and I'll be sure to add my 2c once I really get a chance to drive it.

Also @RB80, toyota didn't say anything about my OME suspension fwiw.

1. ARB OME 50mm lift (currently at 60mm, but they said it should settle 10mm) using the Nitrocharger shocks and medium coils. Ride is amazing - I was expecting sports car firmness and prepared for complaints from Mrs, but its still plush.


2. Optima Yellow, ARB tray, Redarc BCDC controller.

Can I ask a weird question about the lights? When standing directly in front of the car looking straight at the driving lights (during the day with them off), do they give off a yellow appearance or are they more of white or neutral colour?

I just did the same trip 3 months ago (in reverse though) and found that any speed over 130 sent the fuel usage and trans temp through the roof.
That was with a fully loaded roof rack though.

Yes you can see some yellow on the led lights, but christ they put out some light. But at 185 watts each so they should.

Only complaint is that so good, when you have them on for 10mins then dip your lights for on coming traffic you are driving blind.
