Are you going to fit a lightbar to the top of the bar? Looks like you have lots of mounting points already installed to the bar.
Not sure about yourself, but i found the headlight glass was a little frosted like, maybe with age and even the highbeam was pretty lowsy. Much improvement with a LED lightbar though.1999 Prado VX Grande White on Silver 3.4Ltr Auto

Haven't posted any updates since I picked up my truck in British Columbia, I've owned it for about 10 months now, and put just over 10,000 kms on it. In the meantime I've done the following:
-Swapped the headlights for brand new units with a LHD beam pattern
-Fitted a Pioneer Android Auto Head Unit
-Picked up some Escape Gear Canvas seat covers as a "souvenir" while on vacation in Southern Africa
-Bought Yakima roof bars, primarily for carrying a canoe
-Fitted a hitch receiver
-Bought a swing away Thule bike rack
-Most importantly, am finishing up construction of an over sized, insulated double garage with in-floor heat, so I'll be able to tackle more serious projects on the truck in Winter!
Otherwise it's still stock, just accessorized! The photo below is from this past weekend (Canada Day), my wife and I were camping in a provincial park about two hours outside Winnipeg. The truck is dusty from roughly 160 kms of gravel road, and loaded down with gear, but that's when it looks best!
Also, I've done a bit of searching, but have been unable to find anything that works. Does anybody know how to calibrate the compass on the field monitor? Mine has me driving North constantly!
Thanks, and I've enjoyed reading about everyone else's rig.

After the missus complained (rightly so i have to admit) of my work gear rolling around in the back of the Prado, she requested a better solution.
After seeing the inflated prices of a custom set of drawers to fit, i decided to make up a set to keep the back of the Prado looking much more presentable.
Used 25.4mm aluminium square c/w quiklok connectors for the frame, and 17mm film board for the top and drawers.
With hd hinges around 1000mm long at around $100 a pair, i decided to make 75mm plywood timber slides as a much cheaper option. More effort to pull/push, but for the cost saving can't complain about that.
Had to put in a hinged compartment on the passenger side to gain access to the jack when required, also stores the towbar neck/ball.
All mistakes covered up with some black carpetLast edited by CoreyTroy; 28-07-2016, 03:10 PM.1999 Prado VX Grande White on Silver 3.4Ltr Auto
