With the Christmas break here and the rain putting a stop on the camping, it has been time to start the preparations for the GTG for both the Prado and the camper.

The Prado has had a new Drifta 270 degree awning fitted (don't know why I have waited this long to get one). The camper has had everything unbolted from the draw bar and given a fresh coat of paint to help protect it from the elements (yes I know most of the paint will be removed on the Gibb but it is the thought that counts).

For Christmas I was given a "Silky Saw Bigboy" to take away so that I don't have to pack the chainsaw :sad:. It seems most of the presents here were to do with our trip to the GTG.

At the end of the GTG when we are in Broome we will be there to hopefully see the "Staircase to the Moon" as the proposed dates with the full moon are

Just hope the weather is clear to be able to see it in all its glory.

Just did a check on this again and the staircase to the moon for June is on the last night of the GTG so all should be good.

The build is well and truly underway. Picked this up Sunday for $400 - brand new BFG and rim. Only need 5 more. More goodies starting to pile up in the shed.

We have welcomed Inox to our list of sponsors and they have requested that we provide them with some pictures/ testimonials/ short video of their products in use. Anyone who's registered good at producing maybe a short info piece that we can film during the GTG ? All any any ideas welcome and I feel that this could be something that we could do for all our major sponsors as a thank you for their ongoing support. Inox would like to use them for social media purposes so I don't think they need to look too professional!!

Will try and remember to take a few pictures when packing the Inox products. I have run out of what I received at the 2015 GTG so have packed new items for the 2017 GTG.
