3 1/2 months (14 weeks) delivery wait for White GD Prado Auto GX model.
It was over Christmas, but gee I missed having a Prado....previous Prado sold privately quicker than I expected

Hi All,
I just want to thank everyone for sharing their experience, but more importantly their purchase prices and deals. So, I have just started testing the waters with my local dealer, and I now know exactly what I should be paying. I originally was thinking GXL with leather and a few accessories but now thinking I could squeeze in to a VX. Two weeks ago I went in and they offered me a fair price on trade in (Pathfinder ST-L 2014) based on the GXL deal price. So I put my car on carsales and I"ll wait for a better price.

Update:
Finally got over waiting for a private sale, so proceeded to negotiate with a trade in. All went well, I got the price I was hoping for and was happy to proceed with the VX, only to than be told that VX models are a 3 month wait and the dealer than couldn't guarantee my trade in price in 3 months time. Reasoning was they hold excess GXL and Kakadu as these are most of the orders.

In my opinion, I think $2000-ish is very acceptable if it will be covered by dealer warranty.

Pretty sure the warranty only covers Toyota genuine accessories installed at the time of sale. Leather upgrades through the dealer would be via an outside upholstery shop.

I put Leather in 2.8 Prado GXL through the dealer, 2.5k looks great and the quality is excellent.
