    Hello all,

To use the cliché - 'long time reader; first time poster...'

Just signed up to this amazing resource that all of you have built - so glad to be a part of it. And yes, we've just purchased our first Prado - brand new 2105 GXL - and its about 6 weeks away. Really cant wait.

    Model: 150 GXL
    Year: 2015
    Colour: Glacier White
Accessories: None yet- just tow bar
Wish list: well....its huge! but first - snorkel, steel bar, platform roofrack......

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself, and I'll keep rummaging through to learn as much as I can. Really looking forward to learning from everyone else, and sharing stories.

    Cheers
    Andrew

    Gday All

Well after browsing the forum for a few months now and becoming inspired, I actually purchased my first Prado a couple of days before Christmas. Nice little gift that didn’t fit down the chimney.

    Model: 150 VX
    Year: 2011
    Colour: Crystal Pearl
Accessories: None yet, clean slate. Tow Bar / Electric brakes
    Wishlist: Extensive

As I said have got a lot of inspiration from reading lots of the posts. Will probably start some minor mods with a few little DIY things that I have found on here, diff breathers, dual battery etc etc (some of those posts with instructions are great) until I work out exactly what other more significant mods I am after.

Having a look at what some of the other SA guys have done on here, will have a long way to go to emulate them, but i’m hoping to rely on their knowledge base.

Best bit about the purchase is the better half who was nonchalant, has started borrowing (aka stealing) it to drive and has given the 2 thumbs up. I have done a number of outback trips with mates in their Prados / 200's / FJ's, so she is now keen to get out and about - bonus…

Anyway, I’ll keep trawling the wealth of knowledge on here and I’m sure there will be a few ‘how do I do this’ posts on here from me.

    Cheers
    Steve

    Hi all, name is Vish.

Have just ordered a Dec 14 Build 2015 Prado 150 GXL in Glacier White.

    This is my Prado:

    Model: Prado GXL Turbo Diesel
    Year: 2015
    Colour: Glacier White
Accessories: Genuine Toyota Tow-bar, Genuine Toyota Rubber Mats.
Wishlist: AFN Bar, Winch, Snorkel, 2" Lift Suspension, UHF.

Have been a part of a number of other (non 4WD) forums in the past and is great to have a community of like minded individuals sharing a passion for the same vehicle/ interest.

    Cheers

    Hi everyone,

We bought our first Prado (and first ever Toyota) back in june (2014 GXL D4D in white). Even though I don't get to drive it as much as I would like (Safe car for the wife and the little fella) we are both really impressed with it.
I joined the forum yesterday and have already found a heap of really useful information!!

    Current accessories:
TJM T13 Outback bulbar colour coded white
    TJM 9500LB Winch
    Lightforce 240 XGT
    Toyota genuine towbar
    3D Floor Mats

Santa was very generous this year. So, in the next few weeks I will be installing a Uniden UH8080NB Transciever, RFI CDQ5000 antenna and a Xray Vision 120w LED light bar.

We have plenty of plans for more accessories and trips - all in good time of course

    Congratulations on a top forum!!!!

    Cheers,

    Grant.

I've been reading through the topics and have learnt a bit already, although I seem to be somewhat restricted from some areas?
