version updates are only really for key coding and security stuff for new models and new model compatability.

if your getting faults with the software it didnt install properly or is an issue with your download. i have V9.10.037 and its fine,

also what vim is everyone using, im yet to buy my own, i been using the OTC vim and a mongoose vim.

I'll tell you what you get: friggin error messages. Apparently now I have a missing kernel so the bloody thing doesn't want to work.

I did a system restore to the week before the update. All working good now. The update was prompted by opening the Virtualbox program. I then downloaded the update for Techstream which only compounded the problem. As the system works I might just forget about the updates in future.

On a side note, values at start up are (1) -0.7, (2) 0.4, (3) 0.6, (4) -1.0, Inj Vol @ 16.46mm. At 10 minutes they are -0.7, 0.7, 0.7, -1.3 @ 9.43mm so all looking good.

hi guys, got a old acer XP laptop, I think it's a 32 bit one (not very computer savvy!) but it come up with this message. I was under the impression it would work but I need this number. Where will I find that! Lol.

Did you download this form the ft86club link? if so you have to follow the instructions in the text file to bypass the code requirement.

Didn't download it mick, she was a eBay jobbie! Hopefully a way around it. I followed the link on new hilux forum but it must be a different version didn't have anything about a registration number.

Where do I find them? Using V9.? of techstream

That screen is showing landcruiser Kzj. I think you need to select the KDJ. That's the D4D engine

Ahh - so its a model thing. I hae a 1KZ so it would appear that I cant get the feedback values.

What good is techstream for me then apart from resetting codes?

Is there anything that can be used to get a feel for how the motor is going?

Got a techstream cable coming on a slow boat from china and thought I'd download the software in advance. It's downloaded ok from the previous link off the 86club website. But I'm having trouble with getting around the activation key code. I've read bits and pieces about changing a file?? But either details are vague or I'm missing something. Can anyone help please.

Not sure how to help, open the file, change the 0 to a 1, save it and you are good to go.

You need to find the line they are referring too. If you are appending the line then it may be your problem.
