Hopefully there will be some decent rain next wet season to put on a show for 2017, this year has been pretty dismal.. Average for Fitzroy Crossing is 150mm in Feb and we got 12mm, I've heard it's started raining a bit around gibb river again but nothing like the locals say it's meant to. so. hot.

Planning is progressing, today Mrs Whitey1 opened a bank account specifically for the GTG.
On the 6th May we will be heading north to the Kimberly for The Gibb Challenge again, after which we'll be doing a reccie and do some on the ground planning. This will also involve meeting with station managers and tourist operators.
Exciting? Yep.Can't we just keep travelling?

I did the Gibb River Rd about 7 years back now, I subscribed to this free Kimberley travel guide book beforehand, still get an occasional email from Bridget with up to date info on road conditions and closures, river levels, and any other important info. Definitely worth subscribing to help with planning, I think she's still working on this year's version

OK, can someone help me out? I've sent several messages to the admins about creating a sub forum for the 2017 GTG and have received no replies.
Need to get that done soon, can't just keep using this thread. Can't we just keep travelling?
