Regarding the colour id be driving to the local dealership. Most dealers web pages show what vehicles they have on the floor, so you can find one that has the colours you like. Personslly the red is nice but doesnt look right on the 4wd . Interestingly the the peacock black has a green/ blue metal flec over a black base that looks great in the sun.

Hi I am looking into getting a VX and my wife was at a dealer and she was told the auto wipers cant be turned off - I assume this is incorrect. Can anyone with a new VX confirm that you can turn off the auto wipers.
The sales guy also told her that she couldnt remove the 3rd row seats, so again I am assuming that he had no idea what he was talking about...
One last question - has anyone seen or purchased the RED - Wildfire colour. I was wondering what it looked like in person - not just in a picture.
Thanks

I was told today by a dealer that the VX and Kakadu would only be available with the lift up tailgate from later this year (August?). Wheel on back and larger fuel tank only in the GXL.Originally posted by Reid View PostYep was offered the Altitude style Prado last week. Apparently they can be ordered now, told there will be no altitude model this year just the option of the rear door with spare under floor.

The Altitude would be better if it was a lift up door like a normal hatch. Better access in the Westfield carpark and more user friendly as a city taxi car for the mums.

Agreed! to both comments. I think the altitude rear (while channelling the 200 series) looks out of place and to loose all that range would be criminal.
Pick up Friday now, can't wait

I think Hutch’s comment was more as to why would you want a smaller fuel tank/ less range. It’s a great feature and the Prado looks better with the spare wheel on the back then without.Originally posted by Roksy18 View PostI think it’s because the spare wheel is now underneath where one of the fuel tanks was.

They just revamped the interior in 2018, wont be happening again til the 180 series arrives, apparently update for this year is the rear wheel option with or without..

[QUOTE=Reid;n736253]I got a quote from a broker for $62,900 for GXL drive away but not with leather pack so that is a good deal you got IMO. Still holding off to see if I can get a VX in the late 60's. Love Prado's but being a tech geek still unimpressed that this "luxury" car doesn't have modern in car entertainment or dash. The response on the touch screen and visuals of the centre screen are a joke for 2018. Planning to hold this car for 10 years so need something that is up to date technology wise. Rotary wheel to control the info screen near handbrake would be good, more USB's in the back for the passengers and the Kakadu having a blu ray player on a tiny screen from the roof is something from the mid 2000's. Rumours that 2019 model will be revamped inside are making me hold off until i know more.Originally posted by Toopy View PostHas anyone got a PM from him? I’m calling bs

Whereabouts did you get this deal? Nowhere near that at the moment in Vic. Good price!

Downtown Toyota Brisbane, dealer is Andrew Tulip.
I should point out I get silver fleet prices through employee benifits, our company buys a lot of Hiluxes
