I'm with Dueler, the 1st rim looks a bit gaudy. I purchased my 150 with black rims on it already (factory ones powdercoated black), took a bit of getting used to after having plain alloy on the 90.

hi, enjoying your buildup it is a tough looking prado, i am considering buying a prado or fj at the moment, and saw this fj with black rhino-sidwinder wheels with stt coopers, thought they might suit prado ?

I like the 2nd one, not sure how black rims would look on a silver 150 but definately suit the blue storm....

well i'm back in D Town for another week, looked at where i can mount the chip-it catch can and the only place is where VXwesty has mounted his, i just got to relocate the battery isolator/ or incorporate it in the mounts of the catch can.

had the Prado in getting the snorkel done yesterday, and sneaked in a light bar as well (couldn't help myself). Top job by Oppy Lock. The Narva Led Light Bar puts out the most awesome amount of light, makes the standard headlights look like candles when comparing.
I'll get photos up later but going for a cruize somewhere / anywhere today.

The safari snorkel seems to be a larger capacity then the airtek one i had on the original Prado, i know each to there own but i like the safari alot better. The pictures of the lightbar didn't turn out properly, need to take some more so it shows just how much incrediable light it throws out. I think i found rims with +14 offset. Seen the new procomp muddies coming out next year and they look the goods so need to wait for those.

                          Cheers Derek

Those are magnetic termite mounds, more speccie than the large blob ones, they all face the same direction Bernie, it looks like a cemetry with a field off them. They are fan shaped to utelise the position of the sun.

                              Cheers Derek

I really liked the look of the Airtec over the Safari for my 120, but I didn't like how the bracket on the side pillar mounted on the inside of the door jam. A friend had one on his Prado and it had ruined the rubber and on very heavy rain they would some times get drops of water coming in. So I went with the Safari for this reason. Other wise every other 4WD I've had has also had a Safari Snorkel, great kit and you rarely see a 4WD without one in the N.T.

Derek the Prado is coming along well, I personally like the first rim in the pictures you posted, as I to would have went with a set of them if they came in 17x8. It would be good to get out for some wheeling with you guys in the near future, and if you are ever out Kakadu area let me know, I have a few spots worth checking out.

If you are out Dundee way next time be sure to check out Crab Claw island if you haven't all ready been there before. Those magnetic termite mounds are awesome, I know of a spot in Kakadu where they are all in very close proximity of each other.
