It's a no-name light, looks surprisingly similar to some I saw in a few auto shops for 3 times the price.

Nice work, Palmer. What brand light did you go with?

Got the light fitted up tonight. Works a treat.

Will be good as our camping light, plus it will be able to be flicked on to provide a bit extra light when reversing (off-road of course)

The draws and cargo net are in, and will be staying in at least until after our trip.

Already had complaint that it's harder to see out of back now the net is installed. I figure that it'll get a lot harder when we have all our crap piled in the back once we leave.

Saturday arvo (22nd) would be good for me - after kids sport in the morning / lunchtime, plus still got Sunday for stuff at home.

[QUOTE=Palmer;410030]Keen to catch-up VK, just a case of trying to get it organised, been fairly flat-out the last few weeks as I've suddenly realised I need to get organised for our trip in July. I'm pretty sure Smithy is keen to catch-up as well.

Had originally planned on the fuse block going into the engine bay, but there seems to be bugger all room (easily) for the 10 connection one I ended-up getting. (It was the only one that the electronics place had on Friday arvo).

Not knowing which fuse block you have, have a look at my rig build and see where and how I fitted one around the jack. I still have a template for the bracket if you like what I have done. Or we could just meet up and you can see for yourself.

OK, spent most of the day running wires for a second power outlet in the back as well as for a rear light up on the rack
Bugger being it's damn hard to find somewhere to put the fuse block I have.

Now gotta feed my daughter who I have been "babysitting" while mum's been away Then clean-up the mess she's created while I've let her run wild in the house as I've been working.

I'm thinking it was money well spent - they both were pretending to make a 4WD dvd with them, then Zac wanted me to lend him one of my 4WD action DVD's so he could watch it in bed. WINNER

Just need to check with my mechanic that the timing belt has been replaced, and if not (or not sure) get it done before we go. Also suggested that if need to get it done then may as well get the water pump done at same time.

A tow around here isn't too much, but a recovery from the Simo could be up to $10K so better to be sure.
