I am ticked off with TOYOTA for initially "admitting" there was a problem with my Prado as they replaced the throttle body after my complaint on the idling issue, then as this did not fix the fault, now say there is no problem......this is normal operation....

Therefore, anyone with a 6-speed manual 120 series, please contact me by PM as I need more information.

The local dealer has been quite good with the issue. The problem is with who they report to.
It seems that Toyota Australia do not want to know about problems and do not support the dealers. At the end of the day, the customer does not get the service they would expect with a major investment like a 4WD vehicle.
It has been suggested that I buy a new Prado, then I won't have a problem!
I have owned 3 Prado's so far with only minor problems with the previous two.
The way I feel now is that I will never, ever buy another Toyota due to the complete lack of care from Toyota Australia. They say that there is no problem with the vehicle and the operation is normal. So why did this occur 2 years after I bought it, with other people complaining of the same issue, also with no result.

AssH*les on the UHF, especially some knob here in Adelaide . I mean really, being ex-army i have heard more swear words than most, but their is one obnoxious knob on channel 40 who is really low on brain cells. Thank god the radio has an OFF button.

There are a few regulars that need a bullet. I would become a Mercenary if it was legal..... The answer in the meantime seems to be leave the uhf off until you are about 1/2 hour out of the city.

People that dont carry any recovery gear, then get stuck and ask if you have any they can borrow, and "oh can you pull me out?"

Spend $50k plus on a 4wd and won't/can't spend a few hundred for decent basic recovery gear?

I keep my snatch strap/shackles and bridle in the rear door pocket, so they are always with me.

Tell them the usual rules apply:
$50 bucks or a carton. Payment in advance.

That way they don't annoy you and you don't have to pull out any tight a$$e$

Drivers who speed past you when doing the speed limit in road work areas but then do not speed up enough to do the limit at the end of the works and you have to repass them.

Passed the one car three times yesterday on a two hour drive. I would slow down to the limit for the road works and they would just sail past me and spray everyone with rocks then would only do 90km/h in the 110km/h zone so have to pass them again.

It just seemed to be European type cars doing it.

That VKPrado pisses me off due to the safety reasons. These blokes and woman that do the road works could be so easily killed by some knob head who doesn't respect the safety of the workers. I have no problem with police using radar in these areas. What does piss me off is where there are road work signs everywhere and the speed limit has been reduced to say 40k and there is not one work person in sight because they have ended their days work........Cheers Steve
