Had heard good things about the P7. No real difference in output. The P7 is 200 and P14 is 210. P14 is also bigger but still takes the same batteries. I'm guessing that I can get a little more light longevity out of the P7.

i looked at both of these at rosehill caravan/camping show. the p7 uses aaa batteries and the p14 aa batteries from memory [which could be wrong knowing me] but i thought same as you about brightness until i seen how they compared side by side which steered me to thinking i should go the p14 because it did look heaps brighter which is due to the size difference of the lens etc

I think I will still be extremely happy with the P7. I'm not after blinding anyone. Purley after a good and reliable torch. Currently have an Energiser LED torch I bought a few years back. Works really well and has both LED and incandecent BUT my older two kids have both lost their torches or they no longer work (torched, not kids). So I figured I would buy myself a new torch and let them use my old one. If I'm really happy with the P7 then might buy another OR possibly look at getting a P14 as well.

Post #65 shows the difference, in practice it is more than 10 lumens. The P14 outlasts the P7 because it uses AA batteries and not AAAs.

PradOz maybe you should get the M14 rather than the P14??????

My P7 arrived today. Very happy with the results. I'm not after blinding anyone who is mucking around in the front yard. The light output blows away what my old Energiser LED torch could push out. I compared the two and it was worlds apart.

Schaffer, I bought a P14 from the same vendor. How long did your delivery take?

I order last Thursday evening (5th May) and it arrived today (9th May). There was a weekend in the middle so it's pretty quick delivery, provided you select the item in Australia as it seems the same seller is also selling form the UK.

I know it's a genuine imitation of the the real LED Lenser but it works for me. It looks fully authentic and all but seriously can't be genuine.

do you think with the P7 from say about 20 metres it will light up someones face clear enough to see all their features clearly? i am trying to work out how bright this really is.
i seen a p14 for $69 plus $17P+H but they have now changed it up to $99, must be too many interested in them. its all making the P7 seem better value for its price

The P7, and their other models all have two settings, high and low. On top of this there is a zoom function which is sort of like a spread or spot beam driving light which you can go between. When pushed out it's focused fairly well on a small area. I just stood in the back yard and had around 20meters from myself to the fence and it light up the frnce really well. Not only would you see their face but you would see the two fellas either side of them. If the person was say 30 meters away then you would still light up their faces nice and bright.

I did see the price had jumped on the P14. Looks like the P17 is actually slightly cheaper.
