So, how do you stop 3000-odd kilos of V8 brute?

        • G'day,

I'm an electrician, engaged and currently living and working in Port Hedland. Work for BHP Billiton at their Finucane Island port facility. Worked U/G at Olympic Dam for a few years, Leinster and a few other places up and down the Goldfields of W.A. Love seeing how many ships come and go through this place, the amount of dirt that goes through here is mind boggling.

Working shift on the sportsmans roster, pretty much work half a year plus annual leave. Fixing faults gets the adrenalin pumping and love working with PLC/Logix and SCADA systems, how this shit has revolutionised fault finding. Love the sunsets in Port Hedland and the Pilbara in general, still struggling through 40+ temps this far after summer! but happy to know relief will be here shortly.

Love getting out and about camping and 4WDriving. Areas such as Marble Bar, Coppins Gap, Shae Gap, Running Waters and Carrawine Gorge are favourites a few hours away. As long as I'm loving my job and the challenges it throws up, and as long as the girl is happy being here, I don't see any reason to be anywhere else.

                          • Hey guys,

New on the forums but been lurking for a while..

I'm a mechanical design engineer, working in product design (designing your next X). Dream job would be to work at ARB and develop accessories.. feel free to ask any design related questions for your home projects. I've got access to CAD at home so can model things up for people and validate designs, create drawings for you to send out to get made etc.. that's my bread and butter! Currently working on my own roof racks and rear drawers.. casting an eye down the track on rock sliders and a rear bar.

Also did graphic design to pay my way through uni and still do a bit on the side (stickers, logos, branding, business cards etc)
