Sorry for the late cancelation but I now have relatives visiting tonight and a job tomorrow arvo.
If I didn't have the job tomorrow arvo I would have made it for the day trip but it'll be a short day having to leave by 2pm
Damn... was really looking forward to sitting around a campfire tonight. I even have the lamb shanks and camp oven ready... only decision left was which flavour damper to take
Have fun ya'll and keep the shiny side up
Cheers, Leon

Wheres the bloody fun in that - should read - fine chance of a storm, but mother nature will wait until you get to the top of the highest point than piss down, throw in hail just to make sure your awake and than wait for the carnage to unfold as you desend from the highest peak.[SIZE=1][B][COLOR=#ff0000]2010 Silver GXL Prado T/D Auto.

There was definitely a few photos and videos taken, although one camera might need a few days in a bag of rice before we see those photos (it had to be fished out of knee deep muddy water).
I personally was knew to serious bush 4wding but big thanks to the guys for talking me through and showing me what could be done. If you'd asked me yesterday if the prado could have done those tracks, I'd have said no way. It seemed to crawl through all day though and I was mightily surprised at what it could do. Thanks guys for all the help!

Talk2tiny,
You did very well today. Everyone has to start somewhere when it comes to off-roading & it would've taken a lot of guts to drive all those tracks when you hadn't even been to a 4wd park before or really done much off-roading. As I said to you before that iffy spot on the hill climb, the more you do the more confidence you'll gain. You'd be amazed with the things your car will do. Well done today mate

Shane, but instead it read...Originally posted by Fabes View PostWheres the bloody fun in that - should read - fine chance of a storm, but mother nature will wait until you get to the top of the highest point than piss down, throw in hail just to make sure your awake and than wait for the carnage to unfold as you desend from the highest peak.
Blistering hot and sunny, but after mother nature’s last deluge where she washed away most of the dirt leaving the rocky track landscape, this time she made us continually walk up and down those rocky drop-offs tracks looking for a safe line, all the while cooking the soft human flesh with UV rays while we carted those rocks up to rebuild the tracks every 50 metres..... And Just to make sure we were awake after each rock building gym session, the sound of grinding of side steps, bash plates and unknown other things under the prados rang out as we descended from the highest peak....
I'll dig out some photos this evening.[B]Robert

Definetly a day for loads of water (had 3l and no piss all day) and rock sliders. I've taken extensive damage on my OEM sidesteps so the thread :http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...ring+sidesteps will come in handy. The rivet bolts have totally ripped through the alloy housing. Just pray my sills are straight! Always wanted sliders, just will never happen! My front engine guard is bent to buggery too!
Many thanks go to Rob and Trev at the front who copped alot the road building at the front repairing all the huge wash outs from the recents storms, enabling me to adjust my air con inside!!?? A very enjoyable day, a pleasure meeting you all. It's amazing how a 2+ tonne SUV performes with the right level of mods out of standard (a 2" lift and AT tyres). Thought about bringing my 6 month old, really pleased I didn't, tracks were worse than I envisaged. Again, many thanks Rob for organising.[SIZE=1]03 TD 120 Grande, L&R weathershields, f&r deflectors, Sov bar Amts rad b.pl, TJM front B.P, Uniden UH7760NB Kaymar LED worklight, ARB 47l, lifestyle rack & Milford C.
