Trip Summary "I'll be Back"
It was back to city view to deal with “unfinished business” and another great trip was had.
Morning revealed a fine and sunny day with almost no chance of rain this time. So instead of raincoats, sunscreen was the order of the day. I liked the fact that Shane was on the Bureau of Meteorology site early in the morning, just checking! All the water that had fallen over the last few weeks had be absorbed and the ground was dry.
Arriving at the CitiVew 4WD entry, it was obvious the rain had washed a fair amount of soil away and exposed a lot more rocks now, and we were soon to find this out was common right across the park. We had a great turnout of 11 vehicles for the day with some new faces , kids and many regular members all lined up at the park entry.
Steve mentioned the tracks were nice and dry but a few trees were down and a landslide on one of the top tracks. It was interesting to hear about the vehicles that were recovered a couple of weeks ago when the big storm hit. A 15 minute trip became 4 hours over those days in the mud.
We decided to go to the left side of the park, especially for the people that missed that last time, where we had a few of the muddy climbs and some of the bog holes. I also had unfinished business with a certain muddy hill from last time…
After that the plan was back to the right hand side and a run up the goat track for lunch at the top and the afternoon in the mid section.
The latest track maps

We drove over to the left side via gate 1. And lined up all the Prados down in the creek camping ground . There are a couple of short climbs out of the creek bed and were totally impassable last time in the wet.

All of these now were dry and much more achievable, In particular last time even with lockers we weren’t getting up there with the slippery mud, this time is was sweet revenge and can report I got the Prado up to the top. Mother Nature does not forget and with that she reached out and grabbed my bumper and mudflaps and left me with a scar to remember….AJ I need that rear bar now....
Stewy taking the FJ up, these are capable units and he is so good at picking the right line.

Richo taking the 150 up, right at the end, he had his front left wheel point skyward about 3+ feet off the ground with the power from 200 killerwasps...
