More exploring mate. I won't be doing that hill unless there's some good vehicles doing it with me!

It was the first time I have ever been along it so can't really compare to what it has been like in the past. I managed it fine in a stock 150 series and I am pretty new at off-roading. The first part looks like it has been freshly graded, but that doesn't go too far in. There was a fallen tree blocking the path and a side track has formed around it, which was a little tight to negotiate but if you take it slow and use your mirrors you shouldn't have an issue. There was only one place I had to get out for a look before proceeding, one of the bog holes that had some deep ruts with a bit of water.
I only scraped the underbody once and it was very minor and really it was my fault with a poor choice of a line over what looked like a concrete drain down towards the Wolgan Road end. The whole thing probably could have been done in high range, but paranoid newbie me put it in 4L about 5-6 times. It seemed to be quite dry for that track as there were quite a few places which I had the impression could have held much more water, I would imagine that if some of the bog holes were full it would have been a little more challenging and I have may have been less inclined to solo it with my family. I think the deepest water I went through would have been 15cms.
Hope that helps.Last edited by MrX; 18-08-2013, 10:43 PM.

Sounds like the good track is in great condition. The first time I went through there, one of the holes was so deep it would have swallowed a whole Suzuki! That was early 2012 after a very very wet start to the year.glen_ep - engineered, 4" lift, 33" 255/85R16, lockers, 4.88 ratios www.pradopoint.com.au/showthread.php?17237 www.youtube.com/user/glenep www.fb.com/groups/ToyotaPrado90
