      • Had the transfer case seal replaced due leaking hydraulics. Easy 0.5 hour job by mechanic whilst I waited. Total cost $142.

The Prado v6 plugs are a pissa to do lol. Try doing the ones on a fwd v6 like the aurion then they're a c#nt, or even the v6 plugs on a R50 Nissan Pathfinder

I've tried on a Tarago V6. I gave up on the 3 next to the firewall. Can't even get the coil pack out. Took it to the dealer and let them sort it out.

haha. My youngest is only 8. He loved it during the day, just not night time.
My eldest is 12 and didn't bother coming, he knows he'd hate it.

                    • Big Weekend. Replaced the radiator, coolant, thermostat (that was a a dog), drive belts, oil/filter, air filter, complete replacement of trans fluid (dumped then flushed).
Was going to replace the radio/head unit - but the only I wanted was sold out - end of line.
I am thinking next on the list might be wheel bearings, but need to build up some motivation first

Any tricks or comments about doing the thermostat? I heard they were a PIA to do.

                          • Removed my Air Cond Resistor as the 2 slower fan speeds had stopped working. Discovered rusted resistor. Do others recommend genuine Toyota part for this?
                            Thanks

FYI it was less than $50 from Toyota and really simple to change over...cool air again at all fan speed settings

                            • I just did the head unit in my 2006 model , be sure to get the wiring looms, you'll need 2 the vehicle harness and the head unit harness or be prepared to strip and join all the fine wiring yourself. It's pretty straight forward once you have removed the trim as there are only 4 x 10mm bolts holding the unit in.

Is the vehicle harness for the steering wheel controls?
