So here is a short history of the car.

Bought the car from the previous owner who did a total engine overhaul at Toyota service center. When I bought the car it was lacking the usual power of the 1KZ and it already had 275,000 KM on the clock so I decided to swap in another engine.
Swapped in the engine and it was still lacking power with minor difference than before. After some research discovered the check engine light had a cut out and connected to the alternator light in the dashboard!!! F**K the service center got the check engine light on and couldn't diagnose it and this is how they fixed it!

Anyway I checked all the fuel lines, air filters, crankshaft sensor replaced, TCV sensor replaced, fuel filter in pump cleaned, new ECU and tested a couple of sensors by shorting out pin 4 & 13 and it all read correctly just to double check they didn't mess up the electric loom.

Went to Toyota agent they don't have even the 22 pin plug for it so I'm not taking any chances with them.

    Any advice is highly appreciated.

Yes it's still Code:14. I changed it and checked the connections and wiring. The weird thing it's the problem with 2 different engines.

Maybe run some new tempory wires to it... Does it do it every time it's run?

It does it most of the time, but even if the light didn't come on it'll go on once I hit around 100 KM/H. I can't find the a pattern for it. You mean temp wires for the TCV?

Maybe the ECD then? It's a constant in the problem. As with all these damn computers double check all your earths as they can cause some weird sh*t!

Yeah tempory wires just direct ...
If yours is a manual I have 2 spare ECUs
It could even be that the insides of the IP are worn so matter what you do nothing may work apart from a rebuild

Yes it's a manual and I bought a new ECU and didn't make any difference when I plugged it in.
I'm very suspicious about the engine wiring loom part #82121-60620 so I downloaded the Electric wiring diagram and will check with my mechanic. Also will try a temp wiring for the TCV which is a good idea and will get back to you.

Still looking for a reply from TheRoo as he suggested the diagnostic tool which I think is a good investment for any future diagnosis if it's applicable.

Yeah cool well if you need a engine harness I have 2 spare ! One has a couple of plugs cut off though
What condition is the engine harness in? Has there been a bit if oil around and made all the wires go hard and brittle?

Ok great thanks backup plan. Where are you located ?
Had some oil around but can't recall any hard wires .

                        I'm in Perth
I had 1KZ surfs before and they sometimes leak oil and can turn engine harness into a brittle mess
I've just put a 1kz in my V6 90 and had a few probs with the TCV ... Turned out that I missed a power wire to it.... This caused it to detonate ( sounded like old diesel rattle ) low power and engine light .... This is a 120 series motor box ECU and wiring

Perfect I have a friend in Perth who travels frequently to Egypt and won't mind bringing it with him. Will let you know. Old diesel rattle is exac5lying what it sounds like especially in cold start and of course the low power and engine light. Waiting to test the temp wires and see how it goes.
                          Thx Mate

Lol your in Egypt ! Well let me know how you go
I did need to have power to one side of the TCV , in a 90 series that power wire should be red with a blue trace
The other side should be green with a black trace
Have you got a wiring diagram?

Yes on the other side of the world

Downloaded the wiring diagram. I have very limited knowledge about car electrical wiring. I thought it's Black-Red and Green-White according to the manual page 207? Are you sure about the colors you mentioned?

Is your car electronic throttle? Either way the colour codes are not far off and I would say red/black is power
My diagram states those codes but it could be wrong or have you got a throttle cable?
