Ok so after having my kit since June 2013 I finaly found the motivation to fit it (slack I know)
Fitting instructions made the job so simple and yes it fixed the problem... thanks amts wish I had of done it sooner. Turns out it wasnt broken but the pin had fallen out, fitted the longer pin anyway

My pin had come out, put it back in and tried again and it just keeps popping out. Will the new spring and pin fix this? Do I need a new lid as well?Last edited by crabman; 24-01-2015, 04:56 PM.

So, sometimes it takes a while or a few goes tapping the lever left and right to get my auto box to grab L or 2nd. Does that sound like it would be related to this or is it an electrical selector or something?

Well I received my new kit from Andrew today. What a bloody beauty, fixed the problem. Toyota said I needed a whole new "shift box" $1047!!! $13.70 delivered from AMTS and is far better quality than the original.
Thankyou to Andrew for his help and patience (lots of emails as aussie post took a while lol) and also thanks to Prado Point. I know I don't post often but the help and advice that I have received from other members on this forum has been sensational.
Thank you very much
Richard.
