Hi all,
New to the forum and almost a first time Prado owner. Have signed on a new Kakadu now struggling to wait for it to arrive. Looking forward to a long and reliable relationship with this vehicle, the last was difficult.
Cheers
Eddie

Thanks Ian, another quick question, I can't get the lock thing off the spare wheel, I'm assuming it's the key that pops out the bottom of the remote. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but key only goes half way in and I can't get it off. If I can manage to remove it I will be leaving it off. Is that the right key to use or I going to have to attack it with the die grinder.
TIA

Howdy folks,
I've been looking for a vehicle that can serve as family wagon, and double as a getaway vehicle for some adventures. It's more than I thought I'd go for, and prob more than I need. Wife is concerned but she'll come around. I'm really excited to get into it and have ordered an ISI bike rack for some remote and holiday mtb oppprtunities, how sweet. In summary, rank amateur looking to move to beginner level in near future. I haven't even received it yet.
Model: GXL TD auto
Year: 2016
Colour: Graphite
Accessories: Towbar - woot
Wishlist: Works burger but need to win the wife over bit by bit
Also wanted to say I've been watching for a while and the vibe of some forums isn't good, and I'm glad to see that's not the case here. Thanks for all previous posters for sharing the passion and the knowledge & see you in the forums! With hopefully not too many dopey questions. Be kind, as they say there are no stupid questions...

Gday Prado'ers, currently own an FJ Cruiser with a list of mods as long as my arm, we love the FJ and we will be very sorry to see it go, but we've got a 4th bun in the oven so the decision to move to a prado has pretty much been made for us! Currently looking at a 2010 GXL TD with tough dog suspension, airbags in the rear, colour coded deluxe ARB bullbar, snorkie and a uhf. It's done 80000kms more than the FJ but I think we'll get out of the FJ and into the prado without too much changeover so I'm pretty happy with that. The prado also looks like it could be an ex-miner but it's in pretty good nick as far as I can tell, we tow a camper fairly regularly and spend ALOT of time in the bush on weekend so I'm looking forward to the economy improvement! I did most of the mods on the FJ myself so I'm looking forward to turning a few spanners again on the Prado too. Good looking forum here! Hopefully I can contribute in some manner. Cheers!

Welcome Paul, you'll have to do a build thread now tooOriginally posted by PRO050 View PostHa Pradopoint,
Firstly have to thank this site for giving me the heads up on the warranty dash replacement for my 120.
2006 Prado Grande v6 Auto 120,000km
We have had the car 8 years and had never been off road as my wife used it to run the kids around. We thought about selling it, but decided against it and now after it's maiden Fraser trip at Christmas it's staying. Back to Fraser this Easter and Cape York next June/July, so begins turning a completely stock 120 Grande into our Tourer. First on the list for this Fraser trip was a Awning ,cargo barrier and draws I built myself from info from this site.
Cheers Pradopoint
