Hi,

my first post, but I have been an observer for a while. Just picked up my 2007 TD Grande and have already placed the order with ARB for a deluxe bull bar, 9.5 K winch, dual battery for the engel, cargo barrier and new 265/65 BFG AT's. Been saving for a while for all this which gave me plenty of time to research and I found this site brilliant.

Have also used the site to solve a few smaller issues like where is the aux jack for the ipod. Who'd have thought to look in the glove box, the manual says 'around the instruments'.

Previous experience with 4X4's is an 89 Patrol, a 93 Landcruiser and a 2000 Landrover Disco. Having tried all the serious players there was no choice but to go for a Yota. I love the 120 as it feels more like the size of the 80 series. I tested a few 200 series but they feel like monsters around town. The interior space was also not so important to me now with the ruggies in their own machines.

Anyway I look forward to joining in on the the forums and sharing the little I know and tapping into this great resource for the best tips around.

Just bought my first 4wd and very happy with it so far basically stock but hope to get a few things done in the coming weeks.

Hi all,

I have just purchased my first Prado and so far loving it.
I've been a member for a few weeks and think its about time I introduced myself.

Model: GLX 4L V6
Year: 2004 (05)
Colour: Black
Accessories: Towbar, Roof Rack, Blue Tooth, Floor Mats

Wishlist (in no particular order):
Cargo barrier, Duel battery, Heavier duty aux battery wiring, Fridge/freezer, Seat covers, Bull bar, snorkle (Safari), Drive lights, UHF radio, In dash Sat/nav, reverse camera, Recovery points, Recvoery kit, Window tint, New tyres (cooper), Luggage pod or tray, rear rubber mat, Diff breatehrs, lifters/lift kit, inverter, compressor, scanguage or similar, tyre pressure sensor...

Looking forward to picking through the lists for recommendations.

I don't own a Prado yet but would love a VX T/D. This will have to wait though as I need to sell more of them before I can buy them. Yess I do work for Toyota and sell the used Prados. But one day I will own my own. We have an 07 on the yard now but still have to wait. . One day. :wink:

Welcome Bex,

You have come to a great site to read about Prado's I am sure you will be one of the best informed sales people in no time. There are a few stories around about sales people not knowing what things do.

I own a 3L T/D '04 GX moroon (redish) colour. It is a povo pack. has a nudge bar couple of spottys CB radio crusie elec window ect... ...
I LOVE IT SICK! I have owned if just over 2 yrs, I tried to find a Prado site but had no such luck finding one. *shrugs shoulders* I just stumbled onto to this one somehow! :lol:

I am looking forward to chatting with you guys in here, as well as hopefully meeting some on a run some time!

I am a moderator on a fishing site, I also do some part time work on a new charter boat that operates out of Raby Bay so perhaps an off shore fishing trip could be on the cards sometime? I can try and get a discount but no guarentees :wink:

Thought i better introduce myself as i joined about 9months ago !!!!.
Have been checking out this forum for a few years now and bought my prado about 12 months ago.
Have had a few 4wd's previously and have been 4wdriving for about 20 years and just luuuuve these prados !!!
Anyway my prado is a black 2006 gxl diesel with a sovereign bullbar and what ive done to it since i bought it.....

Hi there,

I dont currently own a Prado but have ordered one its a 2010 Gxl t/d manual and cant wait for it to get into my hot little hands! Im just planning on usual mods like ARB bull bar, Winch and lights for a start then most probably tyres pretty soon too.
