Makes you wonder why the Service Note had vehicle from 02 to 09. I will be bringing this point up if mine gets declined on Friday.

I'm still waiting on HO to get back to me regarding my claim, initial dealer claim denied, appealed to HO and that was denied and latest appeal to the national warranty manager is pending. I laid out the usual points - merchantable goods and fit for purpose, airbag deployment affected, long time loyal toyota customer, how wonderful their products are.. Blah blah
Time will tell, though I can forsee me ordering the dash from Japan and fitting it myself..

Has anyone had any luck with a over 10 yr replacement?
I had mine replaced under warranty, its an 11.03 gxl.

toyota took photos of mine over a week ago, called today and was told the guy who took them is away and no one else could tell me what has happened with it as apparently they are locked out of his system or some bulls#it. clearly hoping I will go away. will call them again Monday.

The guy on the phone mentioned 10 year cut off rule and said they have had heaps of 2004's declined recently. told him I know of some even older ones being approved. see how we go!

They checked my VIN - and it was outside the VIN range!!! Even though under 10 years (just), the advised would still lodge a claim with Toyota HQ. Took pictures (wanted my keys to start the car for photo of the OD reading as well) and will advise. But they did say a recent corolla claim was knocked back being outside VIN range - ain't looking good for me.....

I've had a hairline crack starting near driver's side A/C vent up across lip above instrument cluster to other side for about 12months now. The rest of the dash is fine

My Prado is March 2006 build with 180,000km's. - just within the 10 year limit

Will go see a few Perth dealerships and report back later in the week

I've written a formal email and asked them nicely to escalate to Toyota HQ, we'll see where it goes.

I asked my local dealers about 4 months ago and they requested a replacement from Toyota but were knocked back. My car was within the 10 year thing 4 months ago but not now (dec 05 model Grande). Don't really know where to go from here, has anyone had any official documentation from Toyota stating about this 10 year thing that they can share?

I was all set for having to plead my case but nope! Very happy to wait the remote area wait times to get a nice new dash.

Shouldn't be an issue replacing yours as you are likely to be within the 10 year period.
